Best Pizza in Town

Recommended Posts

With Pizza all you need to remember is what you may love the next guy will say is terrible. I think it is all what you grew up on. I am from Connecticut originally (UCONN!!), the best pizza in the world according to Pizza Today,( forget the year) , paper thin, a little more sauce and lighter cheese then cooked well done so the crust would have burned bubbles on it. I opened 3 places in Florida and 80% of my happiest customers where from the Tristate area (NY,NJ & CT). The people from the Midwest like a thick, light sauce, heavy cheese Pizza, West coast like a pizza with weird toppings, Pineapple, artichoke hearts, BBQ Chicken (stuff in my opinion doesn't belong on a pizza).

You also have to remember the biggest selling pizza in NY ( not best) is not what you think, it is Domino, the card board of Pizza which in my opinion isn't fit for a dog. But they sold more pizzas in one hr on a Friday night then I sold all night, I was close to the busiest Domino's in the state and they sold 150 pizza a hr on a busy night, I was luck to hit 100 on a Friday night. I sold more things and had a full sit down but that is not the same.

Loaf's breakfast pizza quickly becomes my addiction while in Patts, well spent 295 baht.

Yeah I hate when places add an automatic tip on the bill. Calling it a 'service tax' just makes it sound even worse. For me. It's an automatic never return to places that pull that. Even in the US, where we tip almost reflexively, most folks don't like to have the tip calculated and added onto the bill for them. Usually it is something a restaurant will only do with big tables of 6 or more, 8 or more.

As far as the VAT goes, IIRC every restaurant is supposed to be paying it, but 99% of them just fold it into the price. It's a red flag for me on that one, but if a place is good enough I'll  get over it.

another rec for Loaf pizza, also had great pizza at the Hilton buffet - if you get it straight from the oven and appreciate margherita or other simple pizza

I recently tried Pizza Italy for the first time.

http://www.pizzaitalytk.com/

The wood fire oven place.

It was one of the best pizzas I've had in Thailand.

It's Italian style obviously but the crust I had wasn't a hard cracker like some Italian pizzas are.

My only complaint is that it was too big ...

Speaking of big ... Pizza Big ... not a fan.

I used to like New York pizza but the flavor of the sauce seemed to get sweeter so I stopped ordering from them.

Fantastic and efficient delivery service though. You could do much worse.

I was never big on Loaf. The crust  was kind of more like soft bread than pizza crust to me.

Those American guys in Jomtien used to good pizza years ago ... so I believe the new place is probably great ... but seems on the expensive side.

The best pizza , though it's a bit out of town , is in the restaurant next to Silverlake vineyard .

Edit ... was there yesterday and the pizza was completely shit . Loads of cheese and they

had forgotten 2 toppings i ordered . When i ask the waiter (who speaks good English) he

just smiles and wanders off . The table next to me simply returned their pizzas and

ordered something else from the menu . Don't even bother going there at the moment .

The view at this restaurant is fantastic. The food and the service, hit and miss completely.  The staff are mostly useless but on occaison they are ok.

Loaf is my favorite. Breakfast pizza is awesome after a big night. Wednesday night all you can eat is great but quite hard to get a seat

Saw some nice Italian style pizzas coming out of Brooklyn diner on Buakhow opposite LK Metro.

Didn't get a chance to indulge but looked good and well priced.
