The Blue Grenadier is very good - much better than Dory.

 

Nearest equivalent in UK is Hake.

 

 

myself and soi 7 put the blue grenadier and the dory to the pepsi challenge the other day by ordering 1 of each and splitting both the fish and the cost!

 

the grenadier is on the left......

Bold statement there Striderman! Favorably comparing farmed catfish with ocean roving, dolphin loving Blue Grenadier!  Furthermore your Pepsi challenge is compromised as you did not introduce the cod element to the equation and was heart broken that I was not apart of this!  So IMHO I think that we should have a Pepsi Challenge involving me, you and Soi 7 sampling all 3 fish!  And old man Edge can be the scribe!

Yes as Striderman said I tend to agree the blue Grenadier was a bit firmer but over all not worth 50% more. also was disappointed as it was not blue at all ☺

I was in Mickeys on friday night with a mate from the UK and he ordered from Fryday -he couldn,t believe the quality for such a small price,cleared his plate and didn,t even offer me a fecking chip.....barsteward :LOL2:

Well 46% I think, but at only 145 Baht for the Blue Grenadier & Chips versus that soggy tasteless Dory I'm happy to pay the extra.

I would be happy to as well if I could see a great difference but I did not nor did Striderman but I am a American ☺ but he's a brit so really a case of everyone seeing things different I suppose

I had the dory there before,very soft flesh and bland.had the cod yesterday and it was like night and day,tasty flaky flesh worth the extra 80bht imho.
