Egg yolks it is... we purchased a potato ricer which we pass through the potato twice for fine mash potato, we will give it a once through for the croquettes to see how it  comes out.

I am curious if others have tried the Fraser's Jomtien Australian "Wagyu" steak which is priced at 350 on Fridays and 425 other days?

I mentioned before I had it once and thought the flavor was quite good but that it was super tough and definitely not the thing if you've got bad teeth.

What I want to know is if it is always that tough or I just had bad luck.

I will eventually try it again for that price, even tough, I enjoyed the meal. 

Then I guess I can say whether it was tough again. 

Well I went back to try it again.

This time the steak looked considerably smaller, but guess what, it was not at all tough. Tender actually.

As far as taste, difficult to judge as I've got some kind of medical congestion thing going on so I don't think I properly tasted it.

Anyway, weirdly I enjoyed it more the first time.

This time I actually left hungry.

It was interesting that the steak was so different between the two times.

I found everything to be quite good.

Perhaps you should stick to Burger King!

I loved my one time there at steak and company about a month ago, everything was good...  seems like they're getting lots of reviews from people same as me...

I work as a chef and your criteria about food can be different...you can compare steak&co with burger king and think steak&co makes 10 times better burgers

 

and thats true

 

but I compare it to high end price range restaurants with an english chef and tell that steak&co quality does not deserve the freaking high prices

 

And I am talking about sides...not meat...meat is fine 

 

 

but potato wedges,carmelized onion,salad,chicken wings and mashed potatos were very very bad

Why are people giving this guy a hard time? He is reviewing the restaurant like he is entitled to. I like Steak and Co but it has received some negative reviews. Just because he doesn't share others opinions doesn't mean he is wrong. Someone else is referring to him as a troll because he didn't like the sides. What's all that about?

Everyone venture I have ever done has been a huge success and continue to be,but hey,there's always a first.

Put some menus up of where you work and I will look at them too.

Coming from Australia where I know some great restaurants for steak, I went to Beefeater on my first trip and was blown away - I was surprised at how nice the steaks were.

 

I was going to try Patricks and Steak & Co at some stage to compare, I might give Patricks a miss now and just hit up Steak & Co

In fairness though mate he is not the first to say the sides are terrible.

It's a common point amongst a lot of reviewers.

The meat always gets a great review.
