I stayed there last week, work starts 7am til about 5ish. Noise incredble!. I normally stay in vt6 when in Patts, but unless I can get a high room above 23rd flooron north side I wont be staying there again, like being in a war zone.

No, I'm staying on the Hilton side now, no construction noise.

The advantage staying in VTSIX facing Walking Street was the lovely sea views from the room , going to miss that once the buildings come up beside it.

Some agents who are looking for a Condo' for me are already saying there are some 'fire sales' coming in from lower floors, especially further back where the 27 floor block is going to be.

Piling equipment is being removed today. So the next phase of construction will start soon. I think it will not be as noisy, but time will tell. So anyone thinking of renting, you cannot go by what was reported on the noise level, as that has just changed. Beachroadlover

the piling is done, the machines gone, a temp reprieve from noise

Over the past several days I have noticed the reduction of construction activity hence the noise levels has also reduced. I assume this is largely due to the overnight torrential rain which has turned the lot into a muddy paddock.

 

There does appear to be a lot of welding being but little else happening.

All quiet on the site this morning......not a single piece of machinery or person on site. Only four or five dogs and a few squirrels. Hope it stays that way.....bankruptcy......hope so !

i saw my mate yesterday who overlooks the work site and he said all quiet but woken by fridays early morning thunder instead

Heard a suggestion they'd delayed construction until after  high season. Hard to believe but site deserted at the moment.

well the rainy season, not that there has been very much apart from the sept 16th event should finish by the end of november.

that would be a good time to start groundwork

It's now been 3/4 weeks and NOTHING has moved on the site. Construction seems definitely on hold.

 

Possibly until after high season as mentioned above....?
