Not many Cod and I haven't seen Haddock for years.

As posted above, the Retox bars do a Cod special on Fridays.

The blackboard at The Sportsman on Soi 13 says they use Norwegian cod for their fish and chips.

Not a very cosy place to sit and eat, however.

After dining there last night, it's Retox on Soi Siam Country Club  the Darkside, without a doubt.

I don't venture across Suk very often for food, but there is passable Cod & Chips at Layla's by the Lake and I'm told I should make the effort to get out to the Little House Cafe on a Friday too.
It's Chef & Owner is Greg, formerly of Greg's Kitchen, whom some will recall.

So last week I ventured out to Little House Cafe....just OK but not worth the drive.

Today I thought I ought to give Robin Hood one more try...it was their last.

The chips and peas were passable but the Cod fillet was definitely not....chewy bit of Tail in chewy batter.....waste of a Friday...back to Jolly Friar.

No wonder some folk don't understand why Brits like F&C.

FWIW I recently enjoyed, three times in two weeks, the real-potato fresh-fried chips, from the food-stand across the road from Robins' Nest, chips-only 75B, chip-butty was 80B, german-sausage & chips 100B, they do fish-and-chips as well but I didn't try it yet.

The point was that they're made from fresh potatoes, and properly-cooked after ordering, very tasty all three times !

I went to JF yesterday and whilst I had no complaints about the food, they seem to have fixed something which wasn't broken.

They have added coleslaw salad, the Cod portion was smaller (large) and they've bumped the prices.

ok i may get blasted for this but here goes!  What is the consensus on Sizzler lunch special fish and french fries?  Does that qualify?  I think it is processed fish?  Pretty cheap though and comes with salad bar.

Eating that Sizzler fish rather than cod or haddock is like planning to eat a vintage  cheddar or Stilton but ending up with Primula Cheese Spread.

I've since been told that there's quite a furore going on on the Breakfast Club.

They are talking about a 25% (I made mine nearer 33%) increase in prices together with a reduction in portion sizes.

They are blaming it on an increase in rent.

It's not as though I've ever seen them packed out with customers and no doubt there will now be even less.
