  1. I’ve always found that a fine single malt goes very nicely with Coke or Pepsi.
  2. Just saw that Yupin’s restaurant in Jomtien Complex is for sale.
  3. He got through. EVA have changed the schedule from 7 days a week to 6 and also depart a little later on 3 of the days. What has actually happened is that instead of flying at 22:50 on a Monday he now flies at 00:15 on the Tuesday, so only 1h 25m later. He still connects to the same BKK flight at TPE though it’s a fairly short layover. EVA have stopped the Thursday night flight and made the Mon, Tue & Wed night flights later, taking them into the next day.
  4. There may be a leak or it needs gas. Owner should get it checked for you.
  5. A friend is coming here from the US in just over a week for his Summer break and he’s just got a notification that EVA have cancelled the first flight from the US to Taipei. He’s trying to get through to them to see what alternative they offer but hasn’t managed yet.
  6. I went to Casa Pascal this morning so don’t want too much for dinner: Brisket that I spice brined for a few days and then cooked on low in slow cooker for a little over 8 hours. I sliced most of it and this is part of the bits left over. Emmental cheese. M&S Traditional Piccalilli.
  7. Hoping some BMs will know some decent restaurants on or near Silom Rd. I’m going to an event at the British Club on Silom Soi 18 in a few weeks and would like to go early and eat nearby first. The Club dining options are strictly Members only. I’ll be getting the MRT to Silom by about 5.15 or so and the Club is about a 30 minute walk along Silom from there. I can access it at the end of Soi 18 or from Surawong. Somewhere along the way would be good. I am pretty fussy about what I eat so no fast food, indian, mexican, spicy, pizza - and a few other things! Healthier options if possible and not horrendously expensive. One of the hotels would be ok if nothing else comes to mind. I can always get a taxi from the MRT - and may have to if it’s raining. TIA
  8. Yes. I paid it last month when I was in the UK. Obviously you need access to the banking App but with Face ID set up that’s not an issue.
  9. You can only use the online system if you haven’t left Thailand since your last 90-day report. Maneerat don’t require any info and it’s always fine. Don’t worry.
  10. The point discussed above is really ONLY if you are applying from a country that is different to your passport country. I just uploaded my passport info page again when I applied for a Non O. A utility bill is fine. The London Embassy has these requirements: Required documents Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document Photograph taken within the last six months - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand. Document indicating current location - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows applicant’s name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement. Travel booking confirmation - Flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward ticket to another destination. Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand.
  11. I can’t help with precisely that but I saved PEA in my favourites on the Kasikorn app and it shows me the amount due each month without me needing the bill.
