Sorry for the late reply i've not looked at the thread today.

 

Yes you can but its not worth it if you don't intend on using the sky box in the uk your self.

 

i can get you everything you need for 350 baht per month from a Bangkok server using the minix box.

 

The cost of the Minix box is 6'500 for the X8-H Plus and the cost of a years subscription is 4'200 baht so that's 10'700 which i guess is just over around 2 months subscription with Sky TV

 

I've done a screen shot to show you how clear the streaming is and when you take the 350 per month you can also watch it on your pc's browser allowing you to travel around and use you laptop on WIFI in hotels.

As you said you like to watch all the above so i would guess your on the full package.

 

If its 10 pounds for a second box in another room but you still have to pay for the first box...!

Yes the sling box works fine as long as both internets are up to the speed.

 

At one point i was thinking of doing the seam but when i was just coming here in holiday i used sky go most of the time but it does have its problems like using VPN's

big thanks for getting  6 each minix 8h  sent up to us in Korea. They arrived after 9 working days and there was no sales tax added, there is no import tax due to the Asean thing either.

Have to Say thank you to Phil for the Excellent service and help he has given me setting up my new Minix. 

Having upgraded from a cheaper copy i can see the difference in picture quality and speed. 

The Ability to watch pretty much anything you can think of and quality of the pictures is great. 

If anyone is thinking about buying one but needs that extra push to part with their money you wont be disappointed  with it, 

Make sure you have a good internet provider and your be up and running in minutes.

We have had our new Minix box running hard the last couple of days with the World Cup Cricket during the day and in entertainment mode in the evening. Noticeable improvement in picture quality and reliability to our other HiMedia box. Streaming the cricket with the subscription BKK server has been flawless, crystal clear HD and zero buffering, every bit as good as our 1500b a month True package.

3 Monthly Feedback -

 

It's been just over 3 months since Phil popped over to my house (in Udon Thani) with the Minx 6 box. All fitted with mouse for under 5,000THB. He regularly updates the movies and TV series on Showbox - most of the time I can watch then no problem. At peak times, the internet is too slow and buffering problems occur. No worries though, I just download a movie in advance.

 

Today, I signed up for 1 month of I Like HD TV, this has all the english speaking Sports and Movie channels. I paid 350THB at 7/11 (ask for Truevision credits) or pay with Paypal. The picture quality for live TV is very good and reliable. If it continues to serve my needs then I will be ditching the 950THB pm payable for CTH (instead I will just get a PSI dish so the missus can watch Thai TV on the downstairs TV).

 

After 3 months, am I glad I purchased a Minix box from Phil? You bet.

Mine is 30mbs fibre but to be honest quality of picture has more to do with the quality of the provider. The average HD stream is under 5mbs, well within the range of most fixed connections.

The packages on the Bangkok servers work fine on 13mbps which i have and i've sean it working fine on 8mbps but only on the 1st package.

 

i've got the package and it works great all the time even late afternoon early evening when the internet in thailand gets hammered by all the kids.

After reading LW's 3 monthly feedback, I too purchased the 350 baht 'I Like HD TV' package. And I'm very glad I did. It works perfectly even when my speed tests are showing speeds much lower than 8mbps.

 

As LW pointed out, it represents a good saving as I no longer need CTH.

Good customer service is important in my book. My movie/shows feature wasn't working, so I PMd Lazalad. Got a response PDQ, but before I had a chance to install the new download he sent me, the issue was fixed...(presumably Phil sorted it from his end).

 

Either way, great customer service and a top product.
