Afternoon kids, I'm off to attempt to get my bike license tomorrow...wish me luck, last week when I went to get the relevant paper work from Jomtien Immigration, I was informed by one of the ladies at the photo copy shop, that for 20,000 baht she would organise a license for me for 5 years without taking the test.......legal?????

Today I passed my eye, depth perception and reaction time tests, all a piece of cake, then it was almost 4 hours of watching a nonsensical DVD of basic road rules and does and don'ts, my opinion, an absolute waste of friggin' time, tomorrow is the road tests, I'm going for both the bike and car licenses and the computer multi choice section, which is, from what I can gather the more time consuming part (generally not passed 1st time and needs to be redone the next day and more than likely the day after that)

 

I'll let you know tomorrow about the cones mate.

Done the practical today, easy peasy, Mr Stool, the cones are 5 in number, in a straight line and each about 6 mts apart, no problem, but the raised bit of tarmac is not recommended after a night on the piss.....the multiple choice section, I failed miserably....questions contradict themselves, in one set of 4 possible answers, 2 can be correct but only 1 is right. back again Moday to do the questions again and more than likely again and again until they are sick of the sight of me, and pass me out of pity.

Went back today to sit the multiple choice test again, 48/50 pass...what I forgot to mention was it is a separate test for bike and car, so I took another test which comprised of 3/4 of the questions from the 1st test, same result 48/50......I can now drive like the rest of the dicks on the road, but at least I'm legal.
