A FOOTY JOKE

An Arsenal fan, a Chelsea fan and a Spurs fan were all in Saudi Arabia, sharing a

smuggled crate of booze. All of a sudden the Saudi police rush in and arrest them.

The mere possession of alcohol is a severe offence in Saudi Arabia, so for the terrible

crime of actually being caught consuming the booze, they were sentenced to death!

However, after many months and with the help of very good lawyers, they were able

to successfully appeal their sentence down to life imprisonment.

By a stroke of luck, it was a Saudi national holiday the day their trial finished, and the

extremely benevolent Sheikh decided they could be released after receiving just 20 lashes

each of the whip. As they were preparing for their punishment, the Sheikh suddenly said:

"It’s my first wife’s birthday today, and she has asked me to allow each of you one

wish before your whipping."

The Spurs fan was first in line (he had drunk only 5 bottles of beer), so he thought

about this for a while and then said:

"Please tie a pillow to my back."

This was done, but the pillow only lasted 10 lashes before the whip went through. The

Spurs fan had to be carried away bleeding and crying out in pain when the punishment

was done.

The Chelsea fan was next up (he almost finished 10 bottles of beer), and after watching

the scene, said: "Choice! Please fix two pillows on my back." But even two pillows could

only take 15 lashes before the whip went through again. The Chelsea fan had to be carried

away bleeding and crying out in pain when the punishment was done.

The Arsenal fan was the last one up as he had finished off the crate. Before he could

say anything, the Sheikh turned to him and said:

"....You are from a most beautiful part of the world, your city has some of the best and

most loyal football fans in the world and your Emirates Stadium is magnificent. The

Emir of the Emirates is a good friend of mine. For this, you may have two wishes!"

"Cheers guv, your Most Royal and Merciful highness", The Arsenal fan replies.

"In recognition of your kindness, my first wish is that you give me not 20, but

one hundred lashes."

"Not only are you an honourable, handsome and powerful man, you are also very brave. "

The Sheikh says with an admiring look on his face.

"If 100 lashes is what you Desire, then so be it. And your second wish - what is it to be?"

the Sheikh asked. The Arsenal fan replies:

"Your Royal highness - please tie the Spurs fan to my back ..............."

Arsenal V Birmingham 12.45 Kickoff GMT

BIG-MATCH FACTS

Premier League leaders Arsenal have the opportunity to go eight points clear of second placed Manchester United for at least four and a half hours with victory over relegation haunted Birmingham.

Only goal difference is keeping Alex McLeish's side out of the relegation zone.

This is the Brummies worst ever season in the Premier League, and Arsenal's second best.

The Midlanders have not won a league game in seven since entertaining Middlesbrough; the Gunners have not lost a league match in 10 since visiting Middlesbrough.

Birmingham's solitary Premier League victory from nine attempts against Arsenal was 2-1 at St Andrews on 15 May 2005, when Emile Heskey struck a dramatic winner in the dying seconds after Dennis Bergkamp had appeared to salvage a draw in the 88th minute. Walter Pandiani had opened the scoring in the 80th minute against an Arsenal side whose minds were on the then forthcoming FA Cup final.

Gallas is starting to lose the plot, threw his Dummies out of the pram again today :Party1:

Great player & despite his treachary to Chelsea, I would take him back tomorrow no questions asked but, he was always one that was close to edge emotionally & and possible candidate for something crazy to happen to team mates or opposition.

typical Arsenal over reaction again, yeah, the guy was hurt bad, but the tackle wasnt malicious, eduardo was too quick, hope he recovers soon.

By the way Scummers, enjoy watching the YIDARMY at Wembley on a lovely sunny day. 2-1 Berbatov/Keane...

I think Jaco and all the other Gooners fans seems to be in hiding today, when they win they are the first on here bragging but when they loose or draw you don't see them for a few days. :Laugh1:

1. Typical ManUre bollox!! You lot are ALWAYS crowing before time! As I've told some of the BMs here I've been on a residential course and was checking the boards only when possible via my laptop. Was travelling back to the Smoke yesterday afternoon and only got back last night in

time for work this a.m. Didn't get a chance to go online on Saturday and but for the course, I'd

have also been at the London meeting too!

2. With that out of the way, let me say the following:

(a) Only saw the highlights of the match and although I was willing Chelscum on to win yesterday, I must congratulate the SpudsScum on winning their first trophy after NINE LONG BARREN YEARS. Fair play to them but will they wait 9 more years for the next one? Watch this space........

(sorry Sanch, but the Spuds were the better team - why did Grant play Anelka on the left wing??)

(b) We should have won the game v Birmingham. It was never a penalty and we were robbed but

c'est la vie. We got a point. Hopefully, RVP will be back soon and Theo will get a chance to add to his brace v Birmingham.

© Hope that Eduardo will be back. The injury was horrific.

(d) We are still top of the Prem by 3 points (that one's for Mav). The run in will be interesting but as I have to remind some of you (Sanch and especially Mav) titles are won in May not in February!

So our football is boring??????...OK you started with a falshood so you have no credibilty in anything further you say as all you are doing is airing your painful inadequacy and envy as a fan supporting an inferior team...Any footballing fan worth their salt cannot call Arsenal's football boring, many other things, but boring? no way..Man U and Arsenal are playing some of the best football in the premiership, that is a statement of fact

Hey Mav...Check the posts immediately after the drubbing you gave us in the FA cup...Now that was a time to hide and we came out and congratulated Man U ...After the injury to Eduardo I was not thinking football to be honest mate, that's why I didn't respond to the Birmingham result.
