I purchased an external harddrive with movies and series installed from BM Thai Tech Trader.

He delivered it yesterday to my condo and I just checked it this morning. It works fine and movies installed as requested.

 

The price for the drive with movies is pretty much the same as drive only back in Denmark.

I have a New 1tb WD 2.5inch external drive (usb3) with your choice of Movies/Tv Series etc for 5000baht. (These units retail for 4200baht)

 

Forgot to say these units require no power supply....

The drive will work on your Laptop, but will only transfer at usb2 rates unless you have the latest usb3 socket...

All the latest Tv's should play MKV files, but if you want to have subtitles you will need a media player!!

You will be able to connect your laptop to the TV with a HDMI cable. USB2 is quick enough for HD video.

Thaitechtrader came to my hotel and picked up a 2tb hard drive which he returned 24hrs later full of films. The quality of the films is stunning and I'll def be buying more in the future. It was a pleasure to meet such a nice guy and if anyone is thinking about buying some films from him my advice is do it. :-)

Go to the website of whatever HD manufacturer it is, complete the RMA form and mail the drive back and they will send you a new one!
