Yes...thought the ‘buy one - get one’ promo was hilarious. I wondered if anyone else thought it funny... :D

Thanks for another fine review LW... much appreciated. The room size looks like it might be a worry IMO. Do your photos show a standard size or larger size room. Cheers.

Thanks for the positive feedback mate - appreciated. My pics are for the basic ‘superior’, there are also ‘deluxe’, ‘exec deluxe’ and ‘junior suite’. I think @Garzan might be able to assist, as I think he has stayed in one of the larger rooms.

Some pics of the other rooms below.

Indeed I did. The Executive Deluxe is probably my best stay anywhere so far.

There's a link to a couple of 360 room photos in the review.

As they say, ‘it pays to shop around’. Agoda and Expedia are the two sites I use. There are (outside of Dec-Feb) lots of bargains to be had. Last September I had the 3 star Bay Breeze for 850 (inc breakfast); previously I have had March hotel (again 3 star) for 800 and got a 2 bed corner suite (with kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms) at the luxurious Amari Nova Suites for 2,600.

It’s worth adding that guesthouses can be a good budget option -  for 500thb rooms can be got at excellent guesthouses such as Boomerang and English Rose.

Pattaya offers outstanding value in terms accommodation.

I'm sorted at nature view in may, It's December I would be looking for which I know is far more expensive. I've pre booked a cancellable room at metro sports bar. Rooms look decent 15 nights @12,150 baht. Only negative is no swimming pool. That hotel does look absolutely top draw though!

Hi LW, agree with your description of the hotel and facilities; the only issue I had was that the door to the balcony had a large gap between the door and the floor, and this led to quite a few mozzies getting into the room. In the end I stuck some electrical tape to the bottom of the door to keep them out. Other than that, a top notch hotel!

Super review as always. How is the noise isolation between rooms and from guests in the hallway? Is there a way to cut across to other streets or do you have to walk all the way down soi 10 each time?

Thanks.

the hotel is on soi11, not on soi10 (even though it looks the other way on google maps).
https://www.google.com/maps/@12.9309737,100.8841266,3a,75y,26.06h,101.7t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sIog86Epkb93Q3WsjtZw1nw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en should show the direct view at the front of the hotel (while it was being built). it's adjacent to honey1 body massage
it's perfectly in the middle of buakhaow and 2nd road and both are directly accessible via soi honey.

edit: just read the review of @Garzan . it seems i was wrong and there's also access via soi10 (maybe even the main entrance). i only know the side from soi honey...

Factually, Acqua is on Soi 10, which is a partial Soi that starts at Second Road and ends at Acqua. I think it also helps to think of the Honey Body massage parking lot as a bridging alleyway between Soi 10 and Soi 11 (Soi Honey). So yes, the main entrance is on Soi 10, and if you are coming from Second Road, or going to Second Road you can use Soi 10 to do that. You cannot use Soi 10 to get to Tree Town or Soi Buakhao.

I would imagine though that most people access the hotel via Soi 11 (Soi Honey), and just cut through the parking lot to get there. If I were taking a cab to get to Acqua, I would not be surprised at all if the taxi went via Soi Honey to get there. And you can see the hotel from Soi Honey, it's just all the way at the other end of the parking lot/alleyway.

Thanks for the review. Ticks pretty much all the boxes for me, except would prefer a bigger room.

The Deluxe room may suit me

Hi Mate, the location issue has already been answered.

Regarding noise in the hotel, I never heard a thing. The quality of the construction/materials of the hotel seems pretty good, so while not totally soundproof, room doors are heavy and effective at dampening noise. It also helps that you don’t have large groups of tour groups.

My stay was totally noise free - both from other guests and from the street.

I went to Acqua in Feb to book a few nights in May. There's a small door/passageway on the left at the end of Soi 10 (past Acqua's carpark) that I used to get back to my rental car which I had parked on Soi 9. So it could be used as a shortcut to Tree Town

Does anyone know what the difference is between Deluxe and Exclusive Deluxe rooms? Both are the same size, the only difference from the website photo's is the seating in the room as far as I can tell. Maybe it's the rooms location in the hotel itself that makes it Deluxe or Exclusive Deluxe.

Breakfast:  was fantastic. Breakfast at their sister hotels (in the Honey group) isn’t bad, but this is much better, so get up early and treat your tastebuds. Fruit, yoghurt and freshly made omelettes are my thing. They also have a machine to make coffee to order. The restaurant is classy, it’s not a huge food hall you get in so many places.

Ta for another excellent review Lottellee Winner.

Any idea of what they charge non hotel guests for breakfast ?

Presumable the usual cooked breakfast etc is also available ?

Cost for non guests is normally 300 (but they are running a promo currently at 200). Obviously if you have booked a room on b&b basis for 2, then there is no cost for breakfast for your guest.

My breakfast preference at the Acqua consisted of:

Orange juice

 Coffee

Muesli+fresh fruit+yogurt

2 Omelets Made to order (they also have bacon + sausages etc)

Pastry.

Great though the service and food was, I do tend to get a bit bored with all hotel breakfast. Retox Bar next to the Acqua does a great full English.

Yeah I get bored as well, particularly with full english, which I really enjoy - but not day after day after day.

I mix it up a bit, Sizzler open at 11 am so I go there 2-3 times a week, Retox, Kilkenny, Golf Club, Pig & Whistle - skip breakfast on Sunday and have Carvery generally at Robins Nest.

I've tried Nickies  a couple of times but haven't really taken to it.

I might just give Acqua a try next trip as well.

Thanks for that Lottellee Winna
