They can be ‘trusted’ in as far as they are one of the few developers operating in Pattaya that have proper funding for their projects (investors, banks etc) rather than using money from previous projects and pre-sales to fund current projects. In the latter case, when pre-sales are slow then construction slows, or stops altogether.

The confidence you can have is that Sansiri projects are much more likely to be completed, and more or less to the expected timescale, than some other developers.

I make no comment as to quality of build & finish of any condo project in Thailand

The Edge will be just another AIRBND hotel as The Base is now. They a good developer but they sold out the regular clients by letting buy Chinese dozen's of Units and rent them out at AIRBND. Just a nightmare for anyone living here and bought a Place

Maybe 1,200 rooms(?) right in the middle of pattaya. Thats a lot of people moving about, whoever they are and whether they have suitcases or not.

The Edge will be full blown hell hole from the first day the doors open.....The Edge will have more in-and-outs than a 5 dollar whore house...

I thought sansiri was developer one can trust. And then i read this thread

https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1120332-owners-of-sansiri’s-baan-maikhao-plan-to-file-suit-against-developer/  Opinions ?

Sad, for this condo, and for that: "going so far as to file criminal defamation charges against one unit owner for daring to publish complaints on twitter" :o

Looked like a nice place in 2017, right on a nice Phuket beach : GoogleView .

- DIANA INN. Yes. At this place was the Diana Inn (probably built in the late 70’s, early 80’s). The original 2 wings was just at the corner of 2nd road and soi Diana (soi 13). At the backside, the swimming pool and some bungalows, replaced later by a 5-storey building. I stayed several times at the Diana Inn. It was the 1st hotel of my 1st trip in Pattaya a long time ago. It has been sold in 2013 and became the Boss Suites.

- EDGE Central Pattaya. Some information found on internet.

1 building, 31 floors, 603 units, height 108m (at The Base, some apartments will loose their nice view).

Apartment size Studio = 26-27m2 // Apt. 1 bedroom = 30-33m2 // Apt. 2 bedrooms + 1 bathroom = 48m2 // Apt. 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms = 60m2 // Parking = 114 slots.

48 m2 ! These 2-bedrooms are smaller than my studio !

Make you wonder; Is there no laws about minimal surfaces in Thailand ?

In my country a (new) 2-bedrooms apartment can't be less than 60 m2.

...i think modern condo interiors are designed well to make use of small spaces. Compared with older, bigger condo rooms which don’t have segregated (defined) spaces.

They remind me when you go to ikea and see their room displays. Oh thats clever, i usually think.

The Edge. Work in progress. I follow with interest from Kiss Food and from the street (soi Diana, 2nd Road, entry of The Base, Mike Shopping). Below, 2 pictures taken end of November.
