Anyone else tempted when they see the fast track people when you step off the plane to just nod at the name on the sign and go with them?

You have to show the booking conformation number to the person meeting you..

The person escorting you will ask to see your completed immigration card to make sure it is properly completed so that would be a "no".

Yes this usually happens but usually when walking along as part of the chit chat. Though I don't recall being asked for anything when getting the buggy.

Never had this with BFS.

My EVA flights from Toronto seem to either arrive at BKK at either 1PM  or 11;30 PM.

Which arrival time is likely to be best for immigration line ups?

I am over 70, can i get a golf cart free through immigration and to the baggage?  I can walk a mile, so its not absolutely necessary, but, these old feet

Someone mentioned above about "special assistance". What is that?

Golf cart won't fit through the immigration booths mate.

Excuse my terrible sense of humour above.

If you want a golf cart check out BFS they could be cheaper than the limousine people. BFS no longer do fast track for economy passengers but with you being 70+ it might work.

Y'all realize that buying these passes had been cancelled correct?

Some say it's the scandal that got Big Joke removed (the selling of these passes to non business and first class passengers).

These services are different from merely handing out immigration fast track cards

The service shown from the link below provides golf cart service from the plane to immigration. You can also book a taxi from the airport if you so Desire.

I believe the golf cart service costs about US$80.

If you are 70 years old then I'm pretty sure BFS can do the golf buggy for 1450 baht or $46 US

As others have stated, I am 99% certain that over people over 70 yrs old get Premium Lane access, so the money paid would strictly be for the golf cart to the door.

If walking the long distance is the problem, the BM should consider requesting wheelchair assistance through the airline upon arrival.  Unlike most USA airports, I think BKK primarily uses golf carts for this service, so he would likely end up paying a tip (think it's free, so maybe a 100 baht tip?), as opposed to 1450 baht.

The only downside is that I would expect to be one of the last people off of the plane, but I think that can be avoided to an extent by explaining that you are fine getting on/off of the plane; it is the long walk to immigration that is too much.

Long way of saying: check with the airline to see how they can accommodate you.

At Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK) there are many travelators; even though it may be some distance from your aircraft arrival gate to Immigration, you can actually do guess 70% of the distance on a travelator. I quite like this as I get the chance to stretch my legs after the plane journey.

At Immigration there is a fast lane for certain categories including over 70's (monks, diplomats, pregnant et al). It is marked on a board; if you cannot see the board, just ask.

You will probably be through and at the baggage carousel before your suitcase reaches it. Trolley for your suitcase is no-charge. Walk through for taxi, bus or train - all sign-posted.

You’re almost right. People over 70 get to use the “Priority Lane”. It's just past the regular immigration. And the airport has lots of moving walkways to get you to immigration without much walking.

There are 2 big immigration halls at BKK, and the Priority Lane is in between them, so no matter what gate you arrive at, just follow the crowds to immigration and keep going a little farther and you'll see the Priority Lane sign. I've never spent more 5 minutes getting through immigration at the Priority Lane, and most of the time I'm the only one in line.

Hi. I didn't follow this thread but didn't see this news in recent pages,  so I post it here:

Apparently Bangkok Airport got some "scandal" about Fast Track tickets being sold to ordinary passengers while they should be given only to Business and First class passengers...

See: Immigration denies 'Fast Track' abuse

They checked my flight ticket stub last week prior to entering walkway and were also collecting fast track passes so no giving them to passport officer anymore

Thanks Bonkabit.. that's very clear... As it stands now I can walk, so I'll just use the fast lane and get on with it. If my feet get worse, I'll ask for assistance when I book the airline.

I'm still working on "carry on" versus "checked" baggage

I appreciate your help guys.

I’m curious if they do the same outbound, checking your boarding pass.. Often I come in on B/C and if there’s no lines at Immigration then just hold onto the fast track and go through immigration as per usual. When I fly out it’s only a short hop to KL so I go on economy and use the fast track then.

I’m thinking most airlines still give fast track to frequent flyers with high status even if on an economy ticket it should still be ok. Will find out in July.

They did when I left in April and they checked for a business class boarding pass on arrival where they scanned the QR code and kept the fast track card.

The steward on my inbound flight told me they are provisioned enough for business class and since you can't use them for non business class arrivals, the high tier Marco Polo don't get one if they are in coach or PE.

Been the case for a while, Bangkok Airport Limousine is currently doing the service for any class of fare, will be interesting to see if it continues in the future.

Column two is Russian language. The third entry down has been wrongly translated as 'Pregnant man'. The Russian actually reads as 'Pregnant woman'.

For members of this board the seventh entry down is almost correct: 'Senior 70 years up'.

(Column one looks like Chinese to me: cannot read it).

Column 2 is actually Japanese, as it contains Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana
