This is an example of a proper burger.. double double animal style, not to mention medium well done fries which is the way to go in my opinion as you can custom order here at in n out..

 

If anybody spots a burger of this quality please post ASAP as there will be a line out the door or at least I pay a visit...

Not a bad burger, large pattie very enjoyable, the downside is 530 baht, plus 140 baht for a San Miguel

Not to mention 18 bucks for a burger and a beer in Thailand.  Who is setting their prices?  You can get a better burger beer combo in the u.s. for half their price.

Thick sliced bread like that is called 'Texas Toast' in US restaurants sometimes.

Drove by an In N Out earlier today and somehow had the strength not to pull in....only to log on to PA and see THIS!  

 

....ouch....

Probably the best fast food burger by a long shot and with fries and shake it's about 7 bucks or 250baht plus freebies like extra lettuce tomato onion pickles on the side or better known as a side salad at no charge I the states which is a expensive place to be so why can you get similar for a bit less money here as everything to make it including labor is much cheaper..

530 baht is just not acceptable for that and quit a bit more then they charge in the states, use to go to hooter Las Vegas Casino and restaurant all the time for there .25 cent per wing happy hour and there good but 14 bucks us plus I'm sure there's vat and service charge etc. Your talking 20 bucks for a sandwich and fry, how crazy is that.. I'll have to or just wait till get home unless they run some decent happy hours there on more then just drinks..

Hooters is new in Pattaya, personally that was my first and last visit, if people act anything like me it will fail, but then again not everyone is like me :)

I have been to Texas a couple of times, but definitely not an expert. The burgers I had there were in buns.

But I have heard of Texas toast

Not defending it as being anywhere worth the money, but it's more like $15 than $20.  Even tacking on a few bucks for the beer doesn't take it to $20. 

 

While it is more than Hooters burger in my experience (have only been to Hooters twice - not a big fan of wings and if I want to see tits, I go to a strip club), I don't think it's uncommon at all for a nice place in the US to charge $15 for a burger and fries....that said, this is a freakin' Hooters, NOT a nice upscale place in downtown Manhattan Beach! 555

Being in the U.S. now, a quality restaurant burger with fries will run $12-$15. This is in California which may have generally higher prices than other areas of the U.S. A quality burger includes being asked how you want it cooked. As I've said before, any place that doesn't cook burgers to order is a sign they serve an over cooked, grey patty that needs loads of extras and condiments hide that fact and provide some flavor. Forum members who praise burgers that haven't been cooked to order, other than those specified well done, probably haven't experienced a quality burger and therefore don't have a quality point of reference. IMO

Pattaya Hooters would do well running promotions... I have not been aware of any..

That looks good. They should start a shophouse restaurant down the street without boobies and sell that good stuff at a reasonable price. There would be a market for both places as obviously the high price is mostly for the nice location and boobies.

 

Maybe call it - ERS CAFE.

 

As in Hooters with no Hoots.

the great thing about these expensive places that have the special stuff, is they are there and available.   You never ever have to step foot in one, or complain about the price, ever.  But....if you want that specail meal then you can have it when you want to treat yourself to it.   Somehow guys dont seem to get that.    Will I go back, sure, but no often, too expensive, but worth the price

No. But if you talk to Sam at Sam's "Mexican" in Jomtien I bet he would do that for you. 

They sell burgers and they have flour tortillas, so why not?
