The times are all wrong in the header of this thread

These are the correct ones for Thailand

https://worldcupfootball.bet/en/television-schedule/

Although the opening games have been switched

Sorry, but the times are wrong in that link. For example, it says England v Iran is 9pm but it’s actually 8pm Thai time (1pm GMT). The other times are an hour off as well. Maybe it’s Singapore time?

The times I posted are correct BUT you have to swap AM and PM.

What streaming options are people using to watch the games at home in Thailand ?

I've got Wizz TV, and found out the various choices on there of live streaming with English commentary.

1. BBC & ITV, games to be shared between both channels.

2. SBS Australia.

3. Fox Sports USA.

4. TSN Canada

.

But closer than yours😀 that site was probably made before BST ended so would have converted at those times, 8pm 2 am most games here

Cheers for that.  I don't know why but this is the only accurate schedule i've seen so far for Thailand.

Some have times from Singapore, others in times from other time zones but certainly not for Thailand.  This one has the correct dates/ times and countries played.

Its ridiculous that some schedules still show France vs Australia/ UAE/ Peru.  FFS Australia qualified back in June and in November the schedulers still hadn't updated it?  Quite lazy really. :Oops1:

FIFA on Qatar World Cup: Nations told to stick to football, not politics

Kind of late for that. You give to World Cup to a nation with questionable, to say the least, reputation and expect everyone to behave normally.

As for for the tournament itself, i'm excited. For a first time in i don't know how many World Cups, no clear favourite can be pointed out. Should be fun.

I think it's hilarious. When the arbiter of morality, Seb Blatter, says he did something wrong, you have to truly be corrupt. Russia 2018 seems chill in comparison.

But Football is where many countries go to battle it when politics and ideologies clash. It adds spice and emotion to the game.

Furthermore if FIFA was serious about sticking to football, not politics, they should get rid of VAR...

budweiser................the official supplier of beer was told to shift some of their beer stands to less prominent locations. it also appears that at matches a limit of 4 beers /person (half a ltr serving)  and the price being around 12 pounds / 13.5 dollars / 500 bht. prices still to be confirmed

Qatar World Cup Faces New Edict: Hide the Beer

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/14/sports/soccer/world-cup-beer-fifa.html

Many years ago when Qatar got the rights to host the WC (through pure corruption), i always said from the start that it won't be a great WC to go to purely because of the alcohol restrictions.  Now, i respect the fact that they are a sovereign country and they are fully entitled for alcohol to be forbidden, but do they realise that most westerners like a drink and forbidding alcohol will substantially decrease tourism?  🤦‍♂️

Even last week (2 weeks before the WC) the Qatar govt didn't make a decision on whether they would allow tourists to consume alcohol at their accomodaton.  They had 8 years to sort this s^&4 out!

Much happier to watch it at a Thai bar knowing i can get alcohol and a woman for the night and save myself to attend the next world cup in the USA in 2026.

The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has clinched a deal with Fifa to pay US$33 million, or about 1.2 billion baht, for the rights to live broadcast all 64 matches of the 2022 World Cup, SAT governor Kongsak Yodmanee said on Thursday.

Bet365 has a free to enter competition and I am extremely confident I am gonna win the £1 million pound prize.

To win ALL I got to do is correctly predict the result of every group match.

The pro forma then poplulates the last 16 round that your predicted results give.

Predict them there results too .. to get exactly the last eight .. same same last 4 ...same same finalists and winner.

Easiest 1 million pound I will ever win. Just predict who plays who and the result. Easy, peasy.

Although If I understand it correctly any draw in the group stages will completely mess up who plays whom in knockout stage. There is no option to predict a draw.

So it appears no drawn match in group stage or my 1 million pound, I plan to spend in Pin Up will be at risk.

I got England to beat Holland in the final.  I got to get every single result right ....

I will be getting nervous if still in the game come the final.

Bet365 are taking a huge risk offering a million pound ....  for just correctly predicting the result of only 64 matches.

With the news Benzema is out of the Qatar cup, I don't think France can win it now

After researching the squads over this weekend, I'll stick to what I predicted at the start of this thread

As I had Brazil & Argentina in one semi final, I predict the winner of that semi final to win the Qatar cup

For a bit of value, I also like Uruguay (40/1) and Holland (14/1)

Let the tournament begin, minus the beers

With the late deal to show the World Cup on Thai TV, matches are being shared between channels:

@davidgethanks for your work here.

Fellow Taff here as my profile name might have given away   😊

Have you got any plans or ideas about watching the late game between Wales and and USA? Last thing I want to do is watch it on the hotel TV   👎

I don’t think there’ll be any option other than hotel or condo, unfortunately. Looks like being the same for all the 2am games

We’ll have to see if anywhere else risks it but the authorities sound very clear.

Can't believe Qatar are as garbage a side as they are.

Couldnt they have invested a few more of their corrupt $$ into players coaching etc ??
