I use 3bb as well. There's 2 wi-fi options, 2.4g (which is default) or 5G. Check your network to see which one your using.

I have 3bb fiber optic and yes there are 2 options.

5G is actually faster than a cable.

Actually no it's not but for most people 5G wifi is plenty fast so it's a moot point.

Get the TiviMate IPTV Player from google first, cost around 8usd/year. worth every penny.

Do you use it in Thailand?  Tried the 24hour trial but got a lot of buffering.  My VPN could have something to do with that and I probably don't need to use one in Thailand.  TiviMate requires the premium subscription to use VOD and other Netflix type services.   I also tried the IPTV smarters pro app because that allows me to use VOD/Netflix, so I am not sure if I should pay for TiviMate premium or not.

So this will be my one more comment on the entire matter. If you have 3bb fiber optic you can choose 2.4 or 5g so you need to make sure you are selecting 5g. As for Wizz, it it caters to UK live TV so it is not the best option for USA folks like me. My iptv provider has me set up for all my USA channels listed first and also has my movies and series categorized they way I requested. For viewing I use IPTV Smarters Pro and love its ease of use. My provider costs me $80 a year and has been flawless. I do not have VPN and have no worries.

Yes, I use it in Pattaya without a VPN. Get very little buffering. I'm watching MNF on espn 2 right now and hasn't buffered once.

I like TiviMate because of the guide, it's the most user friendly I've found. Even though I'm able to get TV worldwide, I was able to limit the guide to only show the channels I want. At 8usd a year it's a no brainer for me, but everybody has their own preferences. Can use VOD with it and also record Live tv, Netflix has it's own app.

Hope that answers your questions?

I tried streamq.tv trial.  I like it because they have their own app.  So no setup no fuss, no need to buy tvmate premium, it just works.  It appears to have the same channels as iptvmate so I think either one would probably be fine.

Yea you're right. I tried streamq also using TiveMate, the only reason I didn't go with them is because the one I'm now using had more shows with closed caption. My hearing isn't as good as it used to be so I need the subtitles sometimes. But it's a good service.

Not sure wo your IPTV provider is, but Proset is great for subtitles

I ended up going with streamq.tv.  Just a short term subscription to see how it goes. I tried a few different ones that offer a free trial.  Most of them seem to be reselling the exact same service, so I don't think there is that much difference.

The best selling feature for streamq.tv is that they have their own app for no additional cost, so that simplifies things.  I can also use 3rd party apps if I prefer.  IPTV Smarties Pro Premium is free and has similar features to TiviMate Paid subscription, so I am using that instead.  TiviMate recently increased their prices quite a bit for the paid version and not really worth it imo.

The dealbreakers for WizzTv is that they do not have a free trial (at least not advertised) and only accept 1 year payment minimum as far as I can tell.  Those are both red flags to me.  If anyone here is in touch with them, perhaps you could ask them if they could offer a free trial.

I just got it see what a firestick can do. One interesting feature of firestick is wifi monitor. It lets you turn your TV into a 2nd computer monitor without any cables.  It also lets you connect bluetooth headphones, so you don't necessarily need to subscribe to any channels to make a firestick useful.

There is a truly impressive list of channels listed on wizztv. Very reasonable prices too. I'm very apprehensive about paying with my debit card though. Is it safe to do so? Are there any other ways of paying?

Paid for 3 years now and no issues, don't know why people think WizzTV would be interested in anyone's debit card detail, it uses a payment processing company like any online business does, it's a simple solution buy direct and online with encrypted secure payment gateway stripe or transfer some random person and Facebook and pay someone you probably won't see again, I know where I would be buying and now ready to order my 4th year with wizz TV, think it's also the fact their want to vet you as a customer to check your genuine and not someone providing fake details to obtain a service from them 🤔

I just checked my TiviMate acct, and it hasn't went up, still $7.99usd/year. They have a premium service that gets you TV channels as well for more money, but for just getting the player, price is still the same.

I had the same concern about wizztv, no free trial, no refund, and it's more expensive than the one I have now (iptv load)

So I agree with you.

I am an expat living in Japan and obviously hate the TV here. Netflix selection is meagre and Korean drama dominated. When I was in Pattaya I was always curious how the sports bars can stream everything including the ever pricey UFC PPV and my bar manager friend enlightened me as to the existence of WizzTV as he has used it many years running to watch Premiership.

I took the plunge and paid a one year sub and it is totally worth it. Works an absolute treat out here, a few tiny streaming issues but on the whole it's amazing. The selection of on demand movies and tv series is amazing and perfect for any expat abroad. The live tv and sports channels is the main draw of the app with literally everything on and available. You can pretty much cancel almost all your streaming services after you get it. Payment with debit card was fine and no issues at all except you have to wait about an hour for the password to generate. To be honest, if credit card payment were available for a few pounds more I would've done that but I have had no problems whatsoever.

I wouldn't worry, even if they did get busted, the FBI won't be crashing through your front door.

I remember when I was 11 years old in California (62 years ago) and there were 7 TV channels, all of which operated from 6am to 11pm. I remember saving my allowance for a month to buy my first LP record (Meet the Beatles). Later in life I remember the amazing way to get free music (Napster). Now technology races at such a rapid pace that for 2,600 baht a year I can watch 18,000 live TV channels and have access to 20,000 movies and 18,000 TV series. Slowly illegal IPTV companies are being shut down but it will take some years before it will go away and be replaced by another option. I make free video phone calls around the world with free apps. I guess I am saying the best illegal IPTV provider is all of them that work!

Hi guys.

I am just arriving Pattaya and i have to have some international channels (more than series or movies) on my tv.

I wonder if anyone could help me on some questions i have (sorry if they are naive and sorry for my lack of english skills too).

So far, i am hesitating between IPTV and Wizztv.

Questions:

1- In Tukcom, android boxes cost 1800 (?), 2300, 2500 THB. Is there really a difference between them, for that use? If yes, wich one(s) shall i buy?

2- Android boxes in Lazada are cheaper. Is it too kisky to buy there?

3- For IPTV, i have read about a few providers. I am not sure what/who they are and how shall i chose and contact them...

In one Tukcom shope, the guy gave a card of, he said, a farang woman, who sells IPTV service for 3000 thb. At another shop, the lady is asking 1500. Is it possible, if not a scam or less quality service?

4- For wizztv, their site says they accept only debit cards. I have one debit card from my thai bank, but i have never used it. Is it easy to pay this way? Any instructions you want to give me?

5- IPTV or wizztv? (or a nother?). If there is not much of a difference, and if i can pay 1500 instead of 3000 or 3200, of course i will go for the cheapest, but i dont know if it is reallt like that...

Thanks for your patience and help

1.When I was inquiring about an X96 Andriod box in Tukcom, I could have bought exactly the same box on line for half the price the Tukcom guy was charging.

2- Android boxes in Lazada are cheaper. Is it too kisky to buy there?

2. I've bought many boxes from Lazada with zero issues, with Lazada you have the option to pay by cash on delivery, so therefore it's very safe. Lazada is very big here, and trusted, the only thing to watch out for is to make sure you buy from a local seller, and not an overseas seller. Overseas means China, and it can take about a month to get your item.

3- For IPTV, i have read about a few providers. I am not sure what/who they are and how shall i chose and contact them...

3. The quality of these services varies from very good to unwatchable, with the bad ones having issues like buffering ect. Even if you've paid a lot for a service doesn't mean it will be any good, the best way to choose a service is the personal recommendation from the people that have a good service.

4- For wizztv, their site says they accept only debit cards. I have one debit card from my thai bank, but i have never used it. Is it easy to pay this way? Any instructions you want to give me?

4. You can use your Thai debit card to pay for things on line, just make sure that your bank have unlocked that facility when they first set up your account. If your card doesn't allow you to pay on line, it means that you need to visit your bank and get them to unrestrict your card.

5- IPTV or wizztv? (or a nother?). If there is not much of a difference, and if i can pay 1500 instead of 3000 or 3200, of course i will go for the cheapest, but i dont know if it is reallt like that...

5. I've used many TV services in the last 10 years, and I've resubscribed to Wizz tv 3 years in a row, for me it's by far the best TV service on the market.

Thanks for your patience and help

Answers above in bold, hope it helps.

I'd recomend the Mecool KM2 PLUS box on Lazada from the Mecool Official store for 2035 Baht, and the 1 year Wizz TV package at 2,900 Baht.

I did more or less this...

Paid 2,120 (+ 38b delivery) for the ME Kool KM2 Plus https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i4350926449-s17338377574.html?urlFlag=true&mp=1 but went for the more expensive TV package as it had a built in VPN (most of my channel viewings are BBC/ITV so I need a VPN to access their catch-up), it's quoted as 3,200b but IIRC with exchange rates it ended up closer to 3,450b

Great little box though I had a hell of a problem with the sound, even with the TV turned up to 100 I could hardly hear it... Tried everything suggested on the Internet & ended up buying a blue tooth sound bar (https://my.lazada.co.th/customer/order/view/?shopGroupKey=ORDERLOGIC_753145849890988_391352_FO097212398538778&tradeOrderId=753145849890988&spm=a2o4m.order_list.list_manage.1)... 1 hour after ordering it I somehow lucked onto a separate volume adjustment setting & all's fine now, don't ask me how I did it as I've looked since & can't find it again.

Wizz TV has been great (have definitely had my money's worth already) but I still find myself going to the (free) HD Cinema App every now and again when I need subtitles  & still maintain a Netflix subscription (though I downgraded it from 419b to 139b so save 280b per month, pays for Wizz) as they have < 600 Netflix offerings on there

First, thank you for the box advice. Yes, Mecool 2KM Plus is a very good buy. I bought it on Lazada, but on the second try only, the first, cheaper, was going to take long time to arrive (there was a review about "great box, very slow seller). So, the second one was good. It cost me 2206 Baht, delivery fee included.

About Wizztv: yes, it was almost all. But, to be honest, i doubt i will renew the subscription in 2024. Reasons (some are important, some not so, but i consider all i feel, including my experience, these days):

1- Their help center (24 hours chat). I don't know if i have talked with only one guy, or more, but: i got replies in bad english (guys: english is not my native language, but even i can see the difference between "you're" and "your"!!), arrogant (saying i type "completely wrong" something, when i only thought it as a "g", instead of a "9"), making bad jokes about my difficulties, etc);

2- The set up can be a bit tricky, depending on what tv you have. In mine, LG, it was hard to locate the browser i had to use to set up the app;

3- Because i have had also some trouble about payment (but not their fault, this time), i had some time between i got the Android Box and WizzTv was ready, so i explored a bit more the box's potential. and, using KODI and some add-ons i was finding searching internet, i could see and use most of the channels i will use from now on: some from my country, some international news channels, some sports channels aswell. Even porn channels (sites) i have found, if i want to.

WizzTV has hundreds of channels, from Albania to US, from New Zealand to Canada, Fox News Locals (!!!), etc., etc, etc But...who really need them?! I would say 90% of these channels nobody will watch them.

Even about quality, i mean delay, "frozen" image, etc, i did not see so much difference: when i using KODI, i had some problems with that and i thought "well, with WizzTV these things won't happen", but they did: for example, last night, with WizzTV, i had the same problems watching the rugby match and today morning i have had even worst problems watching a new channel from my country.

Don't get me wrong, WizzTV is a good stuff, and i will use it from now on, more than KODI, but next year i am almost sure i will save those 2900 THB.

Similar to what I’ve been going through, cutting the cord. I won’t buy an android TV box as most seem to use the same guts and many, many platforms are preloaded with Chinese spyware. While you may not care if the ChinaCorp sees what you’re watching, they can use your box to launch DDOS attacks at another site…you’re part of a botnet and don’t even know about it.

Alternatively, you can use your TVs browser, Amazon fire stick or iPhone to AppleTV and something like Teeveeing.com to stream UK, Irish, French and German channels to a more secure hardware device. They were previously known as TV Mucho, we’ve been using them for 3 years to avoid paying for cable service here. Depending on the number of screens you need, it can be quite cheap; we use the 1  screen plan and use an old iPhone to stream to the AppleTV and the quality is really good. Plus you can also set it up to constantly record channels and then take a week to jump back and watch shows you missed.

Just a suggestion and a bit of a warning about some cheap tv boxes out there.
