Well done Jonny Bairstow, excellent innings and at a very good rate.

They all took a bit of a pounding today. Hopefully no serious damage.    See how long they last tomorrow

Stokes (side) and Buttler (hand) both expected to miss the 5th test. Bairstow (thumb) being assessed. Billings has been called into the squad (playing in Big Bash).

At last a day of cricket with honours even ,  too little , far too late for England .

Cameron Green without the pace to knock the bails off  ☺️ ☺️

Perfect test match warm up for Sam , playing lots of Bish Bash Bosh .

Hameed and Buttler look totally shot .

Jos Buttler should stick to the circus cricket, he's well short at test level with both his batting and keeping.

Very true  , he just plays an innings now and again to hang onto his place , but he's a lottery behind the stumps .

Foakes is a far better keeper and has never let England down when given a chance .

Hameed dismissal was how schoolboys get out .

How much of a lead do the Aussies need before they put the poms back in ?

2 - 66 with a lead of 188 atm.

Bat until tea ? or bail out earlier - @ 300 or so ?

Rain still a wildcard. Thunder storms possible this arvo.

Should go the slog next session.   Give them an hour and a half tonight 375 to win.

4 down with 265 lead overall.

Green finding runs, Usi continuing his form, all great signs for Aus. With the Poms propensity to collapse in the last innings I’m thinking even with the weather we’ll go to Hobart up 4 - 0.

Just seen this flash up on Fox Cricket, it was news to me but it kind of explains this series.

So what’s the line up for Hobart? Head comes back in, Harris gets dropped and Usi goes in to open? Listening to the commentary today, Usi has an average of 96 as an opener. Going to be hard to leave him out for the 5th test.

Yep, a massive 27 runs. Well done England, looks like they’re figured out an opening pair.

Ollie Pope did a good impersonation of a wicketkeeper today ,

Jos Buttler needs to impersonate a batsmen tomorrow .

England have made Australia look really good

I didn’t notice this yesterday but the papers are full of it today…

Paddy Cummins has thrown off his nice guy image…..could have declared after Uzzi got the tonne, but no, kept going until Jack Leach was on a hat trick….then he declared.     Bastard move.   Good on ya Paddy.

Looked pretty dark weather wise earlier in Sydney earlier on, but its brightening up etc now. 9:11 am local.

Hopefully a near full days play. Weather & Pom batmen permitting.

Nows the time for them to make a stand.

I live about 15 minutes walk away from the SCG and the weather now is pretty good, high cloud that does not seem that threatening. I hope the Poms put up a bit of a fight but collapse about 3pm and then I will go for a celebratory RNT (chuckwow) with some dusky Thai girl.
