Deep fried pork knuckle is wrong! Dry root! Needs to be slow roasted and falling apart but rarely seen in Thailand. I think because frying can be done on demand.

its wrong if its euro style. Its food done is different ways that's why we have variety. I do see where you are coming from though....

Slow roasted pork knuckle is a European dish and difficult for Thai kitchens to accommodate. Living in a foreign country you have to compromise and street vendor pork and rice is a reasonable substitute. You still get the nice skin and juicy moo.

Also a much cheaper price at 50bt. Aloy!

that's not a substitute , that's how Asians (east asians) have been doing their pork knuckle for thousands of years. BTW I love kow ka moo! :)

I always laugh when I see but its not original, not like my country.   Maybe, just maybe, its becasue its not your country and its thaialnd

 

Do you eat Thai food in your country and say its not like Thailand?

 

we have to accept that this is another country.

Afraid to drive to walking with my new eye so went to one of my favorites, Mata hari and i often get the same meal.   killer salad, and coconut chicken with panang sauce.    we had some appetizers first :)

Apologies for maybe asking the obvious but what is the name of this fantastic chilli sauce stuff that get with your Thai food.

 

Can we buy it in the UK ?

 

Any help much appreciated.

some Indian last night on soi arab.    Layla resturant, great place open 24 hours for the last 30 years

 

potato somosa.....although my friends always get the lamb somosa

 

 

chicken tika...no sauce or onions etc, gonna put in the bread.  sometimes get the Marsala which is great

 

perfect as always

The Kitchen's version of the 199B all day breakfast. Pretty good , a little different (it has yogurt) but a little small

I cant believe someone actually made a video of something so simple! Just cut up some thai (small) chilli & garlic and put it in fish sauce. I dun like the lime so its up to you how much u put in.
