Guess I am the same when in Pattaya, but funny how a person can pay much more than that in home country for something not even so special and not think twice about it.  So many more good alternatives for spending money in Pattaya.

My first plate of food to give an idea:

There were MANY more dishes as well but I’m quite fussy in what I eat and tend not to eat seafood etc. There were options with shrimp, smoked salmon, sushi type things, courgette, Greek salad, spinach etc etc. There were also some desserts (fruit, cake, mango & sticky rice etc)  which I didn’t try.

The restaurant was far too hot and the band were far too loud but the food and wine were very good indeed. Waddled back to my condo fully sated. :)

I persuaded a friend to come with me tonight so went to this.

Much quieter than the similar Wine Club event. Maybe 30 customers at the peak. The buffet was a few steps down from the Wine Club buffet but still pretty good. My friend hadn’t been to the previous one so thought it was excellent. As I’d been to the Wine Club I was a little disappointed.

There were also some desserts.

The waitress remembered me from last time and took very good care of us. She even brought me another glass of wine, unbidden, when I’d decided I’d had enough. Definitely not sober now. Drank more than a bottle of very good red wine.

Two plates of food more than enough for me, though there was plenty of food left.

The band wasn’t the one advertised - thankfully. The first set wasn’t very good, though inoffensive. The owner made a point of signalling to them to turn the volume down so it was still possible to have a conversation. The second set was better and went down very well with the audience.

I’d be very happy to go back if they have similar events during my next trip.

A very good night as I start to wind down this visit.

Hemingway’s in Jomtien have a weekly special that changes each Monday. This week’s:
