Been there twice now and I really like the place. I like the fact that Falang food and Thai food are served at very reasonable prices. The couple are good attentive hosts. Can well see him buying the laundry next door and expanding or moving to larger premises.

They need to change the prices on the Special Menu board outside. Pie and chips is still listed as 99THB. It might save some confusion/aggravation with some customers.

I finally went there yesterday. No Pakachet Fai Daeng but they did promise to have it soon. A few observations and I wish I could communicate well enough with them but while my Thai is fair (12 years here), I also don't to be pushy. Soi Bongkot is growing like crazy. With all the new condos and businesses, it is becoming a nice area with enough of us foreigners to support places like this, and fortunately, it is not the typical sex tourist foreigners that are moving in. A few things they could now is indicate that there is indeed a "restaurant" there rather than  a laundromat that also sells cole drinks. They could have some paper type menus in English/Thai that could be placed in a rack out front for people to grab (very cheap to make) and a single stand up sign with a name and food photos. Forget the small/large prices as their Thai food is inexpensive. Go with the higher price so they are serving decent size portions. I will continue to go there a few times a week but they also need to speed up service a bit, as I was the only customer when I went in during the afternoon and had to wait 25 minutes for my takeout order.

While I was there, lots of Thais stopped by to buy sodas, beer, loose cigarettes etc, and each time it slowed things up.

I hope they make it!

Im not the owner or anything to do with the place apart from i go in for a drink and one day whilst having a beer or two we discussed how to get some farangs into the place, i suggested pie and chips and burger and chips to see what the response was

 

I helped source the pies from a freind of mine, the business is 100% owned by the thai guy and his wife
