Like how 'Chinese food' bears little resemblance to what people in China eat every day.

 

 

 

Exactly.

 

There are a few genres of Mexican food in the USA, but none of them are particularly faithfull to the real stuff. Tequila Reef is comparable to the California Mexican food, but it is different.

To be fair, some of the worst Mexican food I ever ate was in Idaho.
