Moyes out

I am forever behind Moyes wherever he goes , I hope Chelsea win the league this year , : ()

Your optimism & bravado is worth applauding JK, to be honest Moyes or no Moyes, how can a team that is the defending champion, make so many error passes in a single game is beyond me, not a single accurate diagonal ball to test Hart, MC's defense with the exception of Company is certainly not the best but no pressure put on Demicheles & the likes.

Very good post, I supported United when I was Lilttle in the sixties, took them long time to find a success. Can't expect United to win everything every year. I was lucky enough to see the success in the nineties and the twenties. Many people don't. For example I remembered in the nineties of the old chap attended every away matches with Newcastle United with Kevin Keegan as a manager, but United won that year, I felt sorry for that bloke, camera was always on him in every away matches. He is probably dead by now, he never saw Newcastle win the title , he is a real real fan not looking for a club winning everything. God love him.

My nephew follows City since the nineties because Nail Quinn played for them , when they went to the second division , he still follows them, good luck to him, he is having a great time now.

Moyes has the same squad that won the premiership last season has he not?<br />Fergie got them to play to win. <br />Moyes is shite, but I am a biased Chelski fan.<br /><br />It is just fun to watch manu stink at the moment, it also serves a great purpose.<br />The glory hunters and arrogant need to be taken down a peg or two sometimes and this season has delivered in spades. Not saying all manu fans are but there are enough, you know the ones that say they support "United" as if there is no other United? Cambridge United ?<br /><br />Sorry... Semi rant over

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/managers/david-moyes/10728913/David-Moyes-does-not-deserve-to-be-subject-of-pre-planned-protest-from-Manchester-United-fans.html

David Moyes does not deserve to be subject of pre-planned protest from Manchester United fans

Supporters are planning to fly a 'David Moyes out' banner over Old Trafford before the Aston Villa game - that is wrong

David Moyes may well be the wrong man for Manchester United and his time as manager may be running out, but does he really deserve to be humiliated by a plane buzzing Old Trafford tomorrow trailing a banner calling for him to be sacked?

While the Scot has undoubtedly now lost the backing of the majority of the club’s supporters following painful back-to-back 3-0 Premier League defeats at home to Liverpool and Manchester City, the plan to deliver the blunt "Moyes Out" message with an Old Trafford fly-past on Saturday is crass and unbecoming a club of United’s stature.

If fans choose to turn on Moyes collectively during the league game at home to Aston Villa tomorrow, the former Everton manager will accept that as the price on the ticket that comes with bad results and poor performances.

Boos from the stands, or even banners unfurled by a group of disaffected supporters, are fair game and something that every manager knows can happen at some point.

But the pre-meditated act of hiring a plane - fans have raised £840 through an online forum to pay for the stunt - is wholly different to a spontaneous outbreak of anger and discord from the terraces.

If the fly-past goes ahead as planned, a plane will fly over Old Trafford ten minutes before kick-off and then for the first five minutes of the game.

And as soon as it happens, it will become an excruciating experience for Moyes, with the 50-year-old fully aware that the eyes of Old Trafford and the world will be on him as the plane circles the stadium.

It will be a moment of torment and ridicule, something Moyes would struggle to overcome as United manager.

But while it would be an unenviable ordeal for Moyes, it may ultimately prove to be a move which backfires on those supporters who have paid for the plane and the banner, which will reportedly carry the slogan - "Wrong One, Moyes Out".

Because for all of Moyes’s failings this season, including the bad results, poor team selections, gaffes about Liverpool being "favourites" at Old Trafford and Manchester City being a team United must "aspire" to match, he has always approached the job as manager with dignity and decency.

Moyes has had ample opportunity to lambast his players in public, but has chosen to protect them.

He has also fronted up after every defeat and disappointment to face difficult questions - something Sir Alex Ferguson rarely did and a responsibility which Arsene Wenger abandoned following Arsenal’s 6-0 humbling at Chelsea last week.

And while his dignity and resolve has not been able to inspire results on the pitch, it has at least commanded respect from even those supporters who now believe he is the wrong man for the club.

So if a plane flies overhead with a banner calling for Moyes to go, perhaps it will be booed and jeered and treated with derision simply as a response to those who have chosen to fund the plane.

With some fans calling for the removal of the "Chosen One" banner at the Stretford End, the battle in the stands between rival factions of United supporters highlights the turmoil currently engulfing the club.

The refusal of the group in charge of maintaining the banners to remove the "Chosen One" has sparked the decision to hire the plane, so Moyes is as much a victim of terrace politics as his own failings.

But whether he stays or goes, putting Moyes through such a humiliating experience with the fly-past is wrong and one which could harm the reputation of the United supporters as much as the manager they are trying to drive out.

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

Wait a minute this is football we are talking about not a game with a moral code like golf..in modern football there is very little loyalty, morality and role model behavior shown by the footballers

and management..

the only loyalty  shown consistantly is by the fans to the TEAM

Moyes ,who is paid a small fortune, has inherited a top team which he has turned into a mid table team through naive tactics and a disasterous preseason ,

when he failed to buy a midfield play maker and defenders with power and pace...and....

Consider a very successful company who appoint a new Managing Director ...as his first act the new MD replaces the marketing ,sales, and human resources directors .....all the coaching and tactical staff..

and replaces them with new people  ..how could the board of MU let Moyes do this and why on earth would Moyes want to replace the coaches who were responsible for the success of the TEAM

As a public listed company the board will now have to replace Moyes ,unless he wins the Champions League

Apparently a second plane has been booked to fly over the ground at match time but no word on who has booked it, should make for great pre match entertainment. After 20 + years of success united fans are now turning on the man that brought them all those honours, Ferguson is now being blamed for choosing Moyes. one guy even rang 999 after united were knocked out of the cup by Sunderland.

Meaty, the pilot of the plane has been spotted this morning.

Good post mate

There's a guy at work who whenever Man U won would boast and go on about "his" team ...

Fast forward to this season,he bought a season ticket for QPR and wears their shirt...

To me that represents everything that's wrong with football...and that's why a lot of people are gloating over utd's demise...

Listening to talk sport yesterday & Stan Collymore was saying that the plane stunt was morally wrong & lacked class. Collymore since retiring from football (citing depression) must be really depressing being idolised by thousands of fans, being paid multiple thousands of £ per week & sleeping with glamour models. This is the same Collymore who made news by punching then girlfriend Ulrika Johnson in a nightclub & going dogging. For this guy to be lecturing anyone on morality & class is a joke.

It's time for some tough decisions in the boardroom. Played off the park today at home to Newcastle, beaten in midweek by Everton, humbled earlier in the season by WBH. What's happened to fortress Old Trafford? Mistakes were made right at the start getting rid of all the back room staff, Melunsteen, Phealen & Steele experienced coaches well liked by the players & with extensive knowledge of the inner workings at old Trafford. Moyes has been tactically very poor & that's why we find ourselves marooned in mid table. £27 mil for Fellaini who looks completely lost in a Utd shirt. This team is completely lacking in confidence. When the going was tough in the past Sir Alex always found a way to inspire. The inspiration has gone along with the passion & desire, heads are down & it's up to the manager to turn things around Moyes will not be able to. Unfortunately the jobs just too big for him but on £5 mil a year & a 6 year contract he's not going to be resigning. The Glazers need to have a plan b, because the debt that is serviced each year is very much dependant on champions league qualification & that's not going to happen under Moyes. Ok rant over!

i reckon moyes should be given time about 20years in the bangkok Hilton

  • 3 weeks later...

We had 11 days to prepare for today & Everton played in midweek but who looked fresher? These poor performances come as a surprise to no one anymore. I would say Moyes has lost the dressing room but I'm not sure he ever had it to loose. There has to be discussions in the boardroom between now & the end of the season. It's not going to get any easier either Chelsea will add a £30 mil+ 25 goal a season striker, probably Costa. City are sure to add again, Liverpool with CL cash will strengthen, Arsenal will probably spend f**k all but if they can avoid this seasons injuries they should be stronger & Spurs with Van Gaal will improve also. So it ain't going to get any easier next season. We can't continue with Moyes if we hope to compete.

The managers job is to get the right team playing their hearts out with the right tactics...Moyes has lost the plot....do you think the Glaziers will give

him £200 million to spend?   would you?

I have been supporting united for years and under Moyes they are toothless....in the post match review Dwight York and Jamie Carragher both implied Moyes needs to go ...

Are ya serious ? Must take a look on Sky News , was watching Snooker all day today and now. Thanks for update. Big loss if they sacked him, £15 m I reckon. Moyes will be laughing all the way to the bank, maybe go to Pattaya and have fun.
