New Jomtien Sauna - Soi Wat Boon

LaaMok

Recommended Posts

Because of all the drinking that we all do and all the hangovers, some of us have started doing saunas, its a very good hang over cure. I was never into them until i read up on the benefits of sweating in hot air and then jumping in ice cold water.

There are a few myths about sweating out toxins, but in reality the blood circulation is greatly improved, which does help carry away the toxins.  I go on a daily basis now, due to drinking alot and trying to get myself up to scratch.  Latest research says that the heat realises toxins from fatty cells.

I have been taking berocca vitamins every day, mainly because it contains B complex vitamins will help protect the liver.

Anyway, after trying several saunas, this new sauna popped up and if anyone sees my facebook, i go there daily, because I get so relaxed and feel almost high from the release of endorphins.

You can read more about the benefits of cold water here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryotherapy

I want to own one bad !!!! Been to this place 6-7timrs in 10days . God it was so relaxing !!!! I love it . They make good smoothies . The place is cheap . The staff is friendly . The boss is nice guy .

This is a great way to detox and chill the fuck out . It's amazing . I'm actually thinking of having one at home now after this experience. One word of advice . Don't fart in the sauna the guys don't think it's funny at all . No sense of humor . LOL

I would have kept this place a secret as I LOVE it. But man this place really deserve all the custom they can get . This place made my whole trip that much better . I mean it . FUCKING WOW. Just try not to fall asleep after .

I am gonna go there everyday on my next trip for SURE . I hope most of you DONT make it there . I would like the oasis to my self .lol

its BETTER to be PISSED OFF then PISSED ON!!!..

I've never been in a proper steam room or sauna.  I know full well the benefits of it though.  In the past if I woke up with a hangover I would turn the shower on full to hot, sink on full to hot, and I would jam a towel underneath the door to keep the heat/steam from escaping and just make a sweat box for a good hour or so.

I started to have a gallon of water with me to re-hydrate as the water and toxins were being sweated out because I wasn't smart the first time I did it and ended up falling asleep.  When I woke up I felt worse than having a hangover because I had lost too much hydration.  My fingers had gone prune-like and I wasn't even sitting in water, that's how bad it was.

PI junkie looking forward to his first hit of Pattaya

There are not strange concept at all. This is an health care place, healthier than this you can't go. I had 2 thais and a finnish engineer projecting the place in every detail. The finnish sauna room interior is built in 100% imported finnish wood,no concrete benches or plastic at all. Same for the steam room, absolutely no plastics or other toxic materials commonly used in other sauna places here in Thailand.

Every pool has its own pump and filtering system and they are the best available on the market.

About the alcohol, what can i say? That is up to you my friend. I live here permanently since 1998 and i have never ever drank a single glass of alcohol not even on the day i was married to my wife. I think you've got my point lol!

I have to carry alcoholic beverages because at the end of the day, this is a business and many customers ask for it.

Hope this answer a little bit to your question. Thank you.

You could start by letting people top and tails in your bed!

so its better than mari Jari? :GoldenSmile1:

There is no better really,  Mari Jari have spent alot of money to make the surroundings look nice, but not real Finnish wood in the sauna and the sauna is smaller, the cold pool is smaller.  The swimming pool is nicer in a way, but thats only cuz it blows bubbles in a few corners.  The mari-jari looks nice,  but at 500 baht per day,  its too much.  I like to go daily and if i take the wife its 1000 baht a day plus food/drink,

Mari-jari you have to pay for your water also, unlike at the Jomtien sauna.

Mari jari has a smaller cold pool.

Mari jari probably has a larger selection of food and drink,  but they have been open a while so they have had time to grow the menu from feedback.

Mar-jari is slightly less socialable from the layout.

They have a hot pool which sets them at an advantage,  but the Jomtien sauna will probably get one later on.

So,  the summary is, mari-jari have priced themselves out of the market, but its a nice treat occasionally and they are open til 11 p.m which is very useful.  The sauna and cold pool is not as big.

Mari-jari doesnt have an owner that adds a personal touch and socialises with you.
