Coco's Cafe Soi 3

This time last year CC's was my favorite place for brekky, big German breakfast 3 kinds of bread, 3 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of cold cuts, 2 boiled eggs, fresh fruit, endless coffee, juice and fast wifi for 150Baht. July the price went up to 190 and now 230, which is just taking the piss. Today they had to walk up to BigC to buy the food.









Not much of a breakfast for 230, gone down hill in the last 6 months.

Troical Berts top end of Soi 6/1, nice place to sit on the deck and watch the coming and goings of soi 6/1.

 

 

The English Breakfast 180 Baht. Good quailty food, eggs cooked how I asked, comes with beans but I opted for extra tomato and friendly staff.

The Pig & Whistle Soi 7

 

 

Quantity breakfast here for 175 Baht. Lacked quality, snags where cold and tastless, no OJ and very oily.

when cocos first opened i used to go there often

after the first yr the place was empty each night

now only the staff are there

the manager was told the place would not survive unless he brought his beer prices down

trouble is the owner has it on a lease

proberly cant get out of it

 

shame really as its a good clean and plesent place for a quite night

Pig and whistle has really reduced their quality and cooking standard . Used to have better sausages now they use cheap " breakfast sausage " and as you say way too much oil . Also I could be wrong but I thought the full English used to come with tea but no longer does

The menu does not state any tea, I had to ask if it was included and it was. No chance of swapping beans for more tomatoes/spuds/shrooms and no worcestershire sauce! Copped attitude off the staff! Me: can you please turn on the fan! Staff: Why you not do yourself! Apart from the petty bullshit a nice clean place and will go back again. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall joint, once inside it is all good and a clean toilet.

when Bob was alive (former owner) the Pigs breakfast , with the sportsmans were the best in town always a little dearer but of the best quality and excellent sevice never heard of any problems with staff's attiuide either

I was shocked at the OP's photo.

 

I havent been for a P&W breakfast this time yet, and I dont think I will bother now.

 

I used to enjoy them, and didnt mind paying the extra.

 

No black pudding nowadays either.

 

Staff have always had an attitude though !

I think the Irish Rovers on LK Metro could rival it.

I like Irish Rovers on Soi LK Metro, good value for money. 100baht for the big breakfast. Comes with sausages,eggs,baked beans,baked tomato & potato's,mushrooms, toast, tea or coffee and juice.

 

18 coins on soi Buachao is good also does a similar brekkie for 150 baht.

The Loaf Bakery and Cafe Soi Lengkee

 

 

 

I was not impressed with this joint after reading all the reviews, I ordered the ham and cheese omelette 129 Baht. Asked for tomato in the omelette no problems, swap coffee for water no problems and then she was all down hill.

 

* A disgusting margarine that left a coating in my mouth

* Stale toast that the knife strugggled to cut through

* They rolled the omelette to soon and the middle was just a mess of raw egg and fillings

* Paid the bill with 150 Baht and they didn't come back with change, assumed I was tipping

Irish rovers everytime, the price is what seals it. 100baht. Also Ritz is very good. Jimmy macs on Soi 6 great for 120baht.

Don't blink while you are eating this one or you would have finish the meal before your eyes opened.

 

 

 

 

The Full English Breakfast 190 TBH and 30 THB for a bottle of water. Now I don't mind getting fucked over breakfast, but 30 for a bottle of water is a good old fashion raping. Average meal at best for a top shelf price. The highlight was eating the cold bubble and squeak.

 

 

 

 

I felt like nicking their coffee mug as it should have been included in the price of breakfast.

I am so glad the meal did not come with coffee or tea

 

 

 

The 195 THB Big Breakfast and 30 THB bottle of water. I took another one for the team today suffering another meal backstroking in oil and being on the dunny ever since. Is it so hard to drain the food on paper towel.

 

 

 

 

No coffee or tea but large class of OJ good, able to swap fried patato for hash brown good, first serving of toast came out deep fried bad, but replaced with normal toast good.

 

 

 

 

An over priced meal in a shitting setting. Quality ingredients and the bacon was the thickest cut so far, just far to much oil.
