this is likely to be either the cheapest or at least 1 of the cheaper options around

I don’t have a photo of menu etc but, for those looking for something a bit different, A Taste of Norway in Jomtien (where Linda’s restaurant was for years) are doing a huge buffet with lots of Norwegian Xmas food plus some Thai food on the evening of the 24th December. Cost is 1190 baht.

I wonder if the tree outside Royal Garden will be upside down this year?

If there’s no turkey, with Xmas pudding to follow, then it’s just not Xmas Dinner.

The Hard Rock hotel usually has two Christmas buffets:  an all-out super buffet in Starz Diner and a much more limited carvery in the Hard Rock Cafe.   If you just want turkey and the trimmings plus Christmas desserts (plum pudding, etc.), then the carvery is enough.  I hadn't seen an add for the Starz Diner buffet yet.

Every big hotel in Pattaya- Hilton, Dusit Thani, Royal Cliff, etc., will be having Christmas meals or buffets.  But it's not cheap; prices start around 1,600 baht.

An easier-to-read version of the Retox ad:

That's very good value-for-money, but it ain't Christmas dinner.

I think that says more about some of the people living in Pattaya than it does about the food.

Gave up on Christmas dinners in Pattaya about 12 years ago after many disappointing years. Overpriced, average food and mainly  a service cluster pluck.

For me, just glorified Sunday lunch's.

Are most any better than say, Sportsman Sunday carvery,  which ticks most boxes for 450B?

I did end up going last year, as the missus was out of town, so went  with a group of about 10 couples, went to a popular place in Jomtien, think it was 1,200B, and was OK. One of the things that struck me, was that all the Thai wife's/GF's did not enjoy the occasion and the food. It struck me as a bit like when I was a teenager and getting dragged along to family events and did totally not want to be there.
