BKK Immigration Fast Track lanes will no longer accept old style Fast Track passes

Only the new style Fast Track cards are accepted now, inbound and outbound.

So if you have a batch of the old one's to use or give to your mates it's too late now, they're worthless.

I was told this by a guy on the plane flying back into BKK from HK a couple of weeks ago after i'd been given one of the new cards and was swapping it for one of the old one's from my bag. Then confirmed by immigration and again by immigration when flying out again a few days later.

This must of recently happened. When flying into BKK a little over 3 weeks ago, I got one of the old ones on Korean Air and used it going thru Immigration Premium Lane.

When leaving last week I was given one of the new ones at the Korean Air ticket counter.

Sad because I still have about 6 of the old ones I never needed to use on entering the country because of short lines at immigration.

On the bright side you didn't needed 'em then and , for most, its to late turning back to 16" width /30" pitch/3" recline after the first taste of 26" /80" flatbed in 1-2-1 config :Flying:

Saw on another forum that Bangkok Flight Services can no longer take economy passengers through the fast track immigration

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

I got a new style card in May from BFS. Be sad if BFS will no longer be able to take economy passengers.

Yes, like they say, "you can never go back"

This last trip was in the 2-2 configuration in the top floor of the Korean Air 747 flight from Seoul to Bangkok.

I get the 'premium' on arrival and departure so didn't need them myself, but have given them out in the past, most of the time when leaving the ticket counter going thru immigrations to the gate.

THAT would be a huge hit to their business!

If they don't get you through fast track immigration, I honestly don't understand what the point of their service would be -- a girl to walk/drive you to the long immigration line?

The 2-2 configuration bugs me, because you either have to crawl over someone to get to the bathroom or they have to crawl over you.  It's common in domestic first/business in the USA.

Hell, I'm so spoiled now that I even get a little upset when I am "stuck" in a 2-2-2 configuration!  555  Just GOTTA get in the center section on those to avoid the "crawl over" problem!

Can anyone confirm this? I see they still advertise it on their site but I don't see a link to book it.

I can confirm that a friend of mine posted a message he got from BFS about no longer being allowed to give premium lane passes to economy passengers.

Assuming that you are flying one of the few airlines that doesn't give out premium lane cards to business class passengers. You could call then

Have all the companies that do fast track stopped it for economy or is it just BFS?  This isn't good for me I have 1 hour and 40 minutes on landing to get through immigration, then through domestic at Swampy to fly up to Udon Thani.

Interested to see how this plays out.... Did BFS simply lose their agreement/contract with AOT ?

Are other companies offering a similar service ?

In the past , I used BFS once..... it was great.... lately I fly Business  anyway, so I always get a Fast Track.

I know fast Track passes were also being sold on the internet and probably elsewhere , so that could be a reason that they were changed.

I am not ting tong...my mother had me tested.

I'm starting to get a little confused. "Fast Track" and the "Premium Pass" are two different things.

The way I understand it  and how I use the Premium Pass, is I get one both when I depart BKK at the ticket counter when I check in with allows to go to the gate thru the Premium Lane, which is the same one the flight crew uses. On arrival I always get on plane before getting off which allows me to skip the two regular immigration lanes if they are busy and exit thru the Premium Lane.

Fast Track to my understanding is when you are meet at the plane and ushered on a golf cart to and thru immigration and where you meet your ride. Do the Fast Track services use the same Premium Pass when doing this service?

One other question I have, is there a Fast Track from the ticket counter to the gate when you're leaving?

Your post confuses me a bit also..... BFS is a service provided by a private company with some connection with AOT....they will meet you as you disembark from your flight ,  escort you , usually via a golf cart to Premium Lane of Immigration, then stay with you while your bags arrive.

Premium Lanes are Immigration lanes reserved for Business/First Class passengers as well as over 70 and crew.

Business Class passengers receive these passes from the flight attendant prior to leaving the aircraft or at the door.

When you are leaving LOS... If you are flying Business/ First you will also be given a pass which when security looks at your ticket/boarding pass will either send you upstairs to Immigration or ahead to Premium.... I have no knowledge of purchasing a Premium exit pass.

I realize I used these terms interchanged in my post and I apologize for that.....

I am not ting tong...my mother had me tested.

I know about the Premium Pass program. I have been using it for departure and arrivals for several years now.

The point I was trying to make was. I think some here are thinking 'Fast Track' when referring to the Premium Pass.

Understandable.... I often use the term " Fast Track Lane " instead of Premium Pass Lane .....

I suspect too many of the Premium passes have gotten out between promotions ( AOT gave out a bunch , these have been available for sale online )  I don't know what control , if any , the airlines have..... do the airlines buy them for Bizz customers or do they request a certain number from AOT based on projections or simply based on Business Class seats, occupied or not.....

I used BFS on a non-biz class flight, and, IIRC, they took me through the business class/Premium Lane.  There is no separate "Fast Track" that I am aware of (although I believe that there is a separate lane in the Premium area for visiting dignitaries, flight crews, etc.)

Perhaps mistakenly, I, too, have used "Fast Track" and "Premium Lane" are interchangeable terms.

BFS's departure service was meet you at door six on the departure level, escort you to check-in, on to premium lane security and meet you again at the other side of immigration, take you to your gate/lounge/favourite bar. No golf buggy option.

Not sure if they can help you jump the queue at check-in.
