Swampy fast track service, yes or no?

Hi, i play with the idea to book the fast track service in advance, but i'm not sure, i dont want to waste 1200Baht. The reason is, i arrived at nearly all Month's now, i had a Low season Arrival where is waited 2 Hours in front of immigration, on an later visit i arrived at High season start of Feb and expected the worst waiting time but there was absolutely noone, maybe 5 People total for 10 immigration officers. Then i waited 30+ Minutes for my luggage

Can somebody Guess the approx. waiting time in front of Immigration for my next visit? (Is this even possible or totaly random?)

I arrive at 17.03.2018 11:10 Local time. Thanks in advance.

I paid 850 Baht for fast track, met by cute girl off the aircraft, escorted to the fast track lane and then met again past immigration and escorted to my waiting driver. Last three trips average 15 minutes from stepping off to meeting driver.  Now listed as 900 Baht

Thanks.

Are the waiting lines expected to be long on a Saturday 11am?

Almost all of my 90+ trips to LOS I've had to wait for my luggage to appear after going thru immigration.  3 times I had to wait until the "Last Bag" sign appeared and then had to go to the Thai Airlines office and have then check of my luggage.  It was always located somewhere outside of LOS but I had to fill out paperwork and it was delivered the following day.  Also about 3 or 4 of my flights were delayed for over 2 hours so arrival times are not always accurate.

I have been to LOS 7 times and have arrived at different hours. 6 outta 7 times i had to wait for my luggage, the last time it arrived at the exact same time as me :)

But i will partake in your guessing game... My estimate would be 17 minutes and 23 seconds. Please let me know if i came close :D

Always use it coming in, great servce.  Never bother going out.  Lowers my stress level of coming through BKK

If you've only got hand luggage it would be worth it

if you're going to be waiting for your luggage what's the point

I agree with most that I clear and get to the luggage carousel and still have a few minutes to wait for my luggage.

Only 1 trip arriving about midnight that I found both immigration areas  packed with people waiting. I used the Premium Pass I got when getting off the plane to thru the Premium Pass Lane.

IMHO, for me its not worth paying the price for 'fast track service' since I always have checked luggare.

I got stuck in one of those 3 hour queues late last year (2 desks open at midnight) but I think they are a thing of the past now?

I take it you do not take direct flights - there is a lot more chance of bags not making the connection. I've had the same happen on Emirates from LHR > DXB > BKK. And that's travelling First! Damn annoying.

Not having to queue for immigration for an hour I suppose...

Direct non stop flights are not offered from America to LOS, for a few years we had them with Thai Airlines from New York and Los Angeles.

Used it 4 weeks ago.  Getting through immigration was a breeze but still had to wait for my bag.  The girl wheeled my bag straight through customs and pushed in so I could get a SIM card before all the other people waiting in the queue. For me it was well worth the B900.

After a long trip from your home to airport, check-in and then hang around, then x hours in the plane, it is well worth spending a few THB to get a smooth no-wait transit through Immigration and Baggage collection.

Bangkok baggage is quicker than many other airports; one rarely has to wait long till one's suitcase appears.

Investment of 800THB makes life easier.

I have used Bangkok Flight Services many times, always a professional young lady will meet you at gate. I do not check a bag so I am thru immigration in minutes. After a long flight worth the baht

I used it & felt sort of ripped off but not the fault of BFS. WE arrived way out on the tarmac & were put on buses which deposited us within 100 yds of immigration which meant the money I spent of golf buggy {mobility probs} was wasted & with the guys up front getting on a priority bus the lines at priority access were as long as normal immigration.

Most definately yes.  I go out of the country regularly, don't use it going out, but always coming in.  It avoids the hassle and I have always been through with nobody ahead of me in Immigation, bar the odd crew member.  Great service and at a reasonable cost.

never had a very long wait @ immigration. never a big problem. most often it was maybe 10-15minutes. and most often the luggage wasn't there afterwards anyway.

if the wait at the immigration looks extremely long, i suggest going to the second one, it's just a few hundred meters down.

Just read messages above or other topics on the same subject. Most people say that - even if they sometimes have a small queue, they still have to wait for their baggage after Immigration. So what's the point to pay for a faster Immigration if it's just to wait longer for your baggage ?

Not everyone drags a booked thru bag around.... I use it 100% of the time, and like deano (above) 15 minutes and I am out the front, sometimes even less than that.

If 800 or 850 THB is gunna dent your budget, well it isn't for you. But for that money, you get met a cute TG, and whisked thru the airport.. I use it because, no one can guess what immi will be like at any time of the day, for the simple reason that there are charter flights that arrive from both China and Russia at any old time of the day. I have arrived at 01:00 and normal Immi has been packed and I am thru and gone... On another day, you can arrive the same time and there is no one in immigration. You just can't pick it.

So for the small price charged, for a great service I will continue, EVERY TIME to use it. Those who don't, well that is up to them, but don't whine about being in a queue for a couple of hours if you arrive and the joint is jammed. It is too inexpensive, IMO, not to use it.

I always only take carry on and move pretty fast through the airport.

personal rule, I never go in an immigration line containing kids or old (really old) people.

this gets me into the taxi within 20 minutes usually.

The last trip to Thailand, I went into the visa on arrival line (no need being Aussie), I was the only one there and they looked at me funny and said go straight through.
