Is this considered rude in general speaking?

 

Not sure whether the translation to Thai is more "I fucked up" or "I messed up"

ถ้าเราจริงจังกับการควบคุมอาหาร เราควรจะจำกัดการกินอาหารที่ไม่ดีต่อสุขภาพ เช่น ขนม หรือ เค็กช็อกโกแล็ต

 

"is not good for your health"

 

I understand the use of ต่อ however I can't seem to fit the translation ที่ไม่ดีต่อสุขภาพ into English properly, perhaps there isn't a direct translation of how that works or it just is "for" or "(connected to)".

ไม่ดีกับสุขภาพ = not good for your health

 

ให้ - is generally used as an indirect translation to mean "for" in English
