With elections coming up and the current parliment having been disolved a week ago, perhaps the caretaker interim government isn't empowered to be able to make a decision on this.

Fully expect to be a turnaround on Monday, when the TAT point out the obvious to the Government.

The very fact that you might be right (and we know from recent experience that you might well be) means that anyone who was waiting for the 31st, before making a booking, is still in limbo for another few days.

In the past (during Covid extensions), they always announced a few days before. Never after that I recall. When did they announce after?

The covid extension announcements were a train wreck...Lots of misunderstandings and backtracking and flip flops....So the 45 days could appear again out of the blue..

It doesn’t that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has updated the e-visa website. Maybe give it a few days.
