Great 3-1 win at Phitsanulok yesterday for the Dolphins.

At long last the Manager used Velez and Danilo together up front.

A win at home against SiSaket next week, and we are guaranteed a playoff place at least.

A 3-1 home win today over SiSaket.

With Chantaburi also winning, it confirms that Pattaya are now in a two leg playoff situation, for promotion.

Probably against Dragon Pathumwan.

Two fairly evenly matched teams.

At least they will have to attack more in the second leg, which will benefit Pattaya, especially as Nico Velez, scorer again today, is looking sharp.

Leading 2-0 on aggregate, they produce the worst second half of the season.

Before the 90+6 goal when it was 2-1, was it going to extra time (because it was 2-2 on aggregate) or were Pattaya going through on away goals?

Not sure if away goals count in this competition?

Honestly not sure.

I presumed it was going to extra time, but Kanchanaburi were attacking like a team that needed to score, so?

Looking into this a bit further I found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021–22_Thai_League_2

Last season in Thai League 2 it can be seen that "Lampang won on away goals", so if the rules are the same across leagues and across seasons, then it looks like Pattaya might have gone through on away goals 😞

He was a controversial signing anyway, but he won us over, by being a solid GK in all the games he played.

Even during Saturdays first half, he looked good, then the second half starts, and :

Unlucky, a bad half, or?

I know one thing, Thais do not do criticism, and there is an awful lot of fingers being pointed today.

🤔

Well, the news today is, that Nakhon Si who won promotion to T2 has failed to meet the requirements for a T2 license.

And if this is true, then Pattaya United will take their place.

I am not holding my breath.

A draw.

They're performing better than I expected in the table

I think they are getting better results than their actual play deserves.

So after the international break, and with a new Coach in place, Pattaya United travel to NakhonSi today for a 7pm kick off.

Weather forecast was not good, so it could be yet another waterlogged pitch.

Not sure yet, where the game will be online, but will update nearer the time.
