Overview:
Nice hotel, right in the middle of Soi Honey. Special claim to fame (to me) is the glass-walled shower, big enough for two. The bonus is that if you're worried about what is happening in the room while you shower, the walls are glass, so you can watch the room ~and~ shower at the same time. :-)

 

Location:
Immediately east of Honey Body massage on Soi Honey, directly across the street from Honey Inn and The Hive Restaurant. Off street parking for a small number of cars and motorcycles/scooters is available.

Soi Honey is a sort of specialist area for 'sexy massage', so while it's fine for solo or adventurous couples, I personally would not consider it a family friendly location. There are better areas to stay if you're on holiday with the family.

 

Room:

This is specifically about the "middle" room, directly in front of the elevator when you get off of it. It is unique in that three walls are hallway walls and the fourth wall is an exterior wall. None of the walls are shared with another hotel room. Top floors the room would be 606 or 706, lower floors it would be 208, 308, 408, or 508. There is no balcony access, so my guess is that they are all non-smoking. Some have two twin beds, and some have the two twins pushed together to make a big king. One advantage of this standard room over the others is that the floor plan allows for a lot more open floor space. The sacrifice is that the closet space is reduced. With this room, you can sit on the sofa and not have your knees on the bed. Unfortunately, you will probably have to look at your suitcase on top of the minibar counter area. For me, it's a compromise I can live with to get the open floor space and the feeling of a little bit more spaciousness. 

 

Two waters are provided daily, but the mini bar items are all pay as you consume. Unlike the Acqua, none of the fridge items are free.

 

There's a wall mounted flat screen TV, with an easy to access USB, and a more challenging to access HDMI so bringing your own tv programming is doable.
 

I normally just use the data plan on my phone for any internet needs, but this time I connected to the hotel wifi for my laptop. I did not run a speed test on the connection, but it was plenty fast to torrent a US television show in a reasonably short time, and play my online computer game. Normal web browsing was equally responsive.

Cleanliness:
Clean and tidy, there were no issues.

 

Facilities:  

There is a saltwater rooftop pool, and small exercise facility. Room service for food is available from 10 AM to 8:30 PM.

Breakfast:
While it's not up to its sister hotel Acqua standards, it's also not as expensive. There is a reasonable breakfast buffet available across the street in The Hive Restaurant. Hours are 7-11 AM.

 

Customer Service:
Staff were all very attentive and efficient. I had an issue with my air conditioning unit and got to test out the service staff. Maintenance was knocking on the door shortly after I reported the issue, and the problem was quickly resolved. 

Cost:
The cost for a superior room (the standard room) is around 1200b. A little bit more if you want breakfast included, and a little bit less if you don't want to include breakfast. There's no extra charge if you invite over a single extra guest, but I think (though not certain) that they do charge a bit more if you are having two guests come visit you.

Overview:
I really like this hotel. I like the glass shower, and that there is ample room for two in the shower. hotel rooms are in general small, or if not small, quite expensive. The transparent walls of the bathroom area allow for an extra feeling of spaciousness, even if it's not really there.

The view out the windows. The rooms are in a vertical stack directly over the parking entrance. The bars are a couple of feet away from the windows, it's not actually a jail cell. :-)

I was in one of the Mini-Suite rooms on floor 7 for a few weeks,I can confirm this review.There is an age limit as well,20+ only.

 

The staff was good,had no problems during my stay.It's girl friendly for one,but there is a charge for the second unless your in the suite(room for 3).

Satyed there a few months ago. I really like 247.

About the 1 guest issue.

My shorttime was sitting by reception after our session. she wasnt topnotch so i texted one more st to my room. ofc the first one sitting 1 meter away from reception and goes mad on line asking why i bring 1 Young lady to room 

never got charged for second guest,perharps because they wrent in the room at same time.

I think It also depends on who's manning the desk.

I took the same 19yo twice,first time no problem.(1 male at desk)

Second time,(1 male and 1 female at desk)I got a phone call from the main desk(The female) on entering my room and chewed out a bit,She didn't ask me to kick her out,just that it wouldn't be happening again.

I stayed in a mini suite in January and will be staying there again later this year.  I can confirm the other posters review.  I was real happy with my room.  The staff was friendly and the service was spot on.  I love the location.  I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking into booking a room.

The Asshole on the backside of the hotel likes to play loud music early in the morning (one of the Tents) so avoid Backside!

 

48% Discount? 48% from 1200 walkin is not 1148, what sort of policy is this?

Looking at the photo you included, the 48% references the 'list' room price (which no one pays, there is always some sort of discount) of 2,200.01b. That's the price in red, with the line through it, and the discounted price in blue below it. 

I believe so. The room is listed for two adults, so the 500b extra price would seem to imply it would be for the third adult. There's been some discussion on the "mini-suite" which is listed for three adults (one double and one single bed) that there wouldn't be a charge for the third adult for that particular room. Personally, I've never exceeded the listed capacity of the room (never more than one guest at a time) so all I can say is that I've never paid the 500b fee. Then again, I also never have overnight guests in my room, so if they go by their stated "per night", the charge would never apply to me anyway. :-)

Lastly, this thread and review is for the ~Middle~ room, the vertical stack of rooms over the front parking area entrance. There are no 'rooms in the back' so your noise comment wouldn't apply to this thread. :-) If you were in one of the rooms, 208, 308, 408, 508, 606, 706 that this topic is about, you wouldn't have had an issue with the morning music from the open air shop/bar area either. My last trip, staying in one of the ~Middle~ rooms that this topic and thread is about, my noise problem was bad karaoke (bad singer, and over-driven amplifier) from a bar across Soi Honey from the room. Noise can be a problem wherever you stay in Pattaya and more 'luck of the draw' rather than prior planning for a room in the front or a room in the back. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. 

I now pack a pair of quality earplugs with me. They work equally well in loud Go-Gos and in hotel rooms with inconsiderate neighbors. 555

Staying in a mini suite now.  3rd time here.  There is a deep bath next to the shower with a big glass wall looking into the lounge area. Pool never gets busy so it's good for a spot of afternoon boom boom. 

A really nice place to stay at a great price. Tasty breakfast too.

So the walking Price right now is def. about 1200 Baht right? where does the 2200 Baht come from? thats 50€ and absolutely overpriced for this hotel.

I know this thread is about the middle rooms, but for ref. I stayed in one of the standard rooms, high floor, end of the hall, don't remember the room no.

Although nicely appointed, I found these standard rooms very cramped, about a foot of space either side of the bed max. and no balcony.

Having said that, it was reasonably priced, staff and pool were great, was also half expecting an extra cleaning fee after a guest menstruated heavily all over the sheets.. not a word..

Also used the 500 baht key deposit as a half day overstay and checked out at 6pm for a midnight flight.

Would definitely stay again albeit in a larger room.

And that right there is the main point of me writing the review. :-) The middle room is a standard room, at a standard price, but has much more floor space without upgrading to the mini-suite. I have the exact same complaint about the other standard rooms, sit on the sofa, and your knees are hitting the bed. Having stayed in several different room locations, I really do think the middle stack rooms are the best rooms in the hotel for price vs floor space. 

Now if you want to experience a really tiny room, try the standard room next door at the Acqua. Beautiful room, wonderful hotel, but no room to move around at all.

You do know there is a CCTV camera covering the pool area at 24/7. Monitored at reception...give the staff something to talk about eh?

I probably stayed at those rooms few times.  I like this hotel, but move on to D hotel Pattaya because prices slowly creep up to $40-50 per night but will be happy to stay at this hotel again if price drops.  I'm curious about Acqua but not a big fan of many steps at front entrance, especially stumbling back to hotel during night time 555

I'm going to have to look much closer at the staff when I come back in November. So far, I haven't spotted the Ladyboy staff person. (Then again, I'm not generally looking for ladyboys. 555)

I'll also agree about Acqua; I stayed in one of the big rooms, and it was an awesome room, though it is pricey. It was a nice treat, that will probably not be repeated. The standard rooms over at Acqua make the normal standard room at 247 (not the middle rooms) feel spacious. 

If only you could pick where the included breakfast was. I thought the breakfast at Acqua was head and shoulders above the breakfast that comes with the 247 room.

^ Yes, the brekky at Acqua looks great, breakfast is the only Western food I eat in Pattaya, though I doubt anyone there could replace the 'egg man' at the Hive! 555
