Hawkins beats a very weak performance by Ding.....Well played Barry.

Have to agree , Ding on form is a fantastic player to watch , but he seem to quit on this game well before the end .

Makes you wonder if he will ever be world champ .

Barry Hawkins played very well .,

Doesnt pay to be favourite this year   ,   Selby , Osullivan , Junhui  all out .  Guess the winner of Higgins / Trump will be the next favourite .

Great to see Williams rolling back the years and making it through....Higgins Trump 11 each now and could be going all the way, under pressure you've surely got to back Higgins though

Well played Higgins.....

Enjoyed every frame of Higgins & Trump .... they are fantastic snooker players . Higgins experience had done him a favour .  Trump will have another few years  to try again to win the World Championship. Higgins Vs Williams ??  A nice ring to it .

I agree,  Two senior champions, Higgins V Williams, sounds good.

Higgins looked very tired today after a tough match with Trump but still lead 5-3 to Wilson . Higgins is probably in bed now , will be fresh for the second session tomorrow morning .

Hawkins leading 5-3 to Williams ..... both are playing well . Both semi are on the same scoreline , will be interesting tomorrow and Saturday.  Love to see another decider once again after Higgins vs Trump epic match  ,

Higgins leading 9-7 to Wilson this morning even though Higgins had not yet find his form in the last two sessions , his highest break was only 70  ,  Wilson also not finding his form that beat Allen . Should be good tonight . Williams & Hawkins coming in half an hour .  :ThumbUp6:

Higgins still in the lead 13-11 ... Wilson still on his tail until tomorrow after dinner .   Williams was lucky to get the last frame to make 9-7 down to Hawkins instead of 10-6 ,

Looking forward to a full day of it now. Higgins hasn't played too well and is leading and Williams has played quite well and is behind.....

Hoping both of them make it to the final

12 -10 Hawkins  ,  but Williams giving it everything .

Playing under that pressure , if not up to it , it can really show .   Ding Junhui fell away badly in the q/finals , and it makes you think he may never be world Champion despite being a huge talent .

Edit   12 - 11    Has all the makings of a 33 rd frame .

After three session , the two matches are still in the same scoreline , won’t be surprise if both go on to the decider . Williams missed a easy black to finish the last frame of the third session . Should have been a 12-12 but Hawkins cleared the table to punish him to 13-11 for tonightfinal session ,  Higgins Vs Wilson will be brutal .,. Looking foward to see .

John Higgins produced his top gear to beat Wilson , unbelievable Century break in the 29 th frame when all the balls clustered together... Gotta praise Wilson for his fighting spirit ,  he is definitely a future World Champion .

Yes , Wilson seems to have a lot about him ,

Hawkins or Williams will have to play exceptional to match John Higgins

Unbelievable match that William had won to Hawkins 17-15 ..  both making errors , makes the the frames all the more  exciting .  Fair play to Hawkins for sportsmanship, he told the ref that the blue ball was rocked a bit . I feel sorry for Hawkins and Wilson , but delighted for Higgins and Williams . Will be a fantastic final between two former champions . Higgins will have a great advantage in the first session because of mental tiredness to William tonight . 6-2 to Higgins in the first session . A very thrilling day for me today . 10am to 12 am of TV snooker .

Shows what can be done if you stick with it .

Mark Williams never ahead until the closing stages of this match , hope he does himself justice in the final as John Higgins will be relentless .

Good run by Barry Hawkins again , maybe he'll win it one day .

Higgins was lucky to lose only 3-5 to Williams after being 0-4   , Williams looked fresh despite playing late last night .

Steve Davis said that Mark Williams was spotted in a Kebab shop at 2.30 am this morning , and was eating sweets offered by a spectator during the first session  !        King of cool .   6 - 3 Williams
