Didn't take a pic of their menu, so don't know about liver and bacon, but some of thier dishes are on their facebook page.

Had this earlier - substituted the salad and chips for steamed veg - personally I did not rate it - but for the money its ok - part of it was piping hot other parts not so hot....

Kilkenny does a lasagna on the special 199B on a Monday comes with garlic bread/salad pretty decent

Witherspoons special on Wednesday is Lasagna, comes with garlic bread and small salad, 199B, I find it average, would rather pay a bit more and have it come with chips.

Anything made with beef here can be hit and miss, actually mostly miss. Thailand isn’t known as a cattle producing country, so the quality isn’t going to be great. ( apart from at Robin Hood)

The Thais are good at chicken and pork , I may stick to those dishes in the dishes in the future.

The best Lasagna I have had in Pattaya is from the Italian Rinapp Restaurant Soi 13/1 and all the other meals have been top notch the pasta dish’s from here are a cut above most other restaurants in Pattaya and not really that expensive for the quality you are getting

My pics and info are old, but here's what the Kilkenny lasagna special looked like in May 2018:

You'd have to have one hell of a huge appetite if you walked away still hungry after than plate.  I would agree for the price it was "pretty decent," if not traditional lasagna.

Below is the review I wrote back then:

Kilkenny on LK Metro has lasagna as a special for 199 baht several times a week. It's not exactly the lasagna an Italian grandmother would make, but it's tasty and the portion is huge. It comes with three small slices of garlic bread and  salad on the side.

The Kilkenny version of lasagna is very heavy on the meat filling and cheese topping, but light on the pasta. It's sort of like an upside down cottage pie with pasta instead of mashed potatoes.  The bechamel sauce that is used in some types of lasagna was most noticeable by its absence.

There's nothing wrong with that.  Many traditional recipes have been adapted by restaurants to suit the preferences of their diners and that's almost certainly the case with Kilkenny's lasagna.  But if you're looking for a many-layered lasagna dressed with a lighter ragu-style sauce, that's not what Kilkenny's lasagna is about.

Have to agree with this comment, Rinapp is someplace which isn’t spoken about enough. The quality of ingredients they use are bang on and not expensive tall in my view. Never had a bad meal and will be one of my first stops when I’m back in May.

I tried the Lasagna at the Nest today. Thought it was very good. I also had the chicken sizzler wedneday special yesterday which was even better.

Lasagna is Italian, Chips are British AFAIK, but you could always order a side of fries 😄

I'm happy to see this thread is still being updated after nearly five years.  There's always a need for information about inexpensive restaurants which serve good food. I'm trapped in the U.S. due to Covid, so I can't myself offer dining experiences more recent than two years ago, but I can help out by posting menus and specials from restaurants' Facebook pages and Web sites. Maybe it will save BMs some time. :D  However, I would advise everyone to check the restaurants' social media sites to be sure the information below is still accurate.  Things change fast in these strange times!

I'll start with the LK Metro area.  The Rockhouse has a new menu. Whenever I ate there, the food was good and value for money.

That was my experience as well.  I found the Sunday lamb roast and the weekly porkchop special to be excellent value for money. Kilkenny was one of my "go-to" restaurants while living in Pattaya. I'm posting a list of their most recent specials.  As I recall, it's the same daily special(s) every week, but check Kilkenny's Facebook page to be sure.

To continue with restaurants in the LK Metro area:

The Robin's Nest is under new management and has become The Nest.  It also offers daily specials.

Harry's is another dependable restaurant in the LK Metro area.  It offers Swedish and international dishes at reasonable prices.

Ham glazed with pineapple slices and maraschino cherries has been a festive U.S. main dish since the 1920s.  It was developed by Hawaiian pineapple growers to increase demand for canned pineapple slices and quickly caught on because the sweetness of pineapple is a good counterbalance to the saltiness of baked ham.  The idea spread to the U.K. and gammon with pineapple became popular there as well.

My grandmother and mother used to make baked ham like this for Easter:
