Buddy make a copy of that email as that is as far from our experience as it is possible to get. The gentleman concerned in the fiasco at this hotel ended up in a room at the Den due to their refusing the escort unless she allowed them to take a photograph. Due to the situation the hotel had put him in we allowed him to use our accommodation despite it being a booking for a single escort.

There is no benefit to us to have to restrict where the ladies can offer service, therefore we will be seeking a meeting with the manager to clarify the situation. If it is as you have been advised by Email then we will make a written report/complaint regards what took place asking for clarification in writing.

I will post the results here.

I've replied back asking for clarification regarding the "(But it’s up to the visitor if it’s okay to her to take photos or not)" - asking what if the visitor wishes their photo not be taken, will they still be allowed to accompany the hotel guest to their room?  If I receive a reply from them on this question, I'll post their reply here.

Double shit...  Well, it's too late to change hotels, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.  If it's so, I'll be sure to never stay there again and let them know that I'll help them advertise their new policy across the Internet.

Personally, better to suffer the cancellation fee (if any).

Buddy thank you for that, we will now check that out in real time and if the case we will lift the ban on the Sunshine but not Bella Express.

I suspect that you are right regards their relaxing their attitude as they have now received the lady's written complaint and a police visit.

The policy can only be intended to discourage joiners. They just don't want our business, so I'm happy to stay away.

Please keep us up to date, Cerberus. You are in a good position to know first of hotels introducing the policies like this.

My last exchange between myself and Sunshine, I think an understanding has been reached :)

Mr Seville,

Thank you again for your quick reply and the further clarification on the visitor photograph policy.  I'm pleased to hear that the hotel manager will allow a visitor to accompany a hotel guest to their room even if the visitor not take photo.  I trust the reception staff are aware.

Regards,
Buddy

Our Manager already informed the reception but if there’s a problem arise like lost money or valuable things, We can’t help the guest when this problem arise. We hope you understand that we just doing this for security reason. We don’t have any bad intention with the photo and we have more things to do first than doing bad intention to the visitors.

It is similar to the USA cry that is all for our safety, total crap.

How is this policy similar to the USA? Perhaps you can explain this total crap.

Bella Express had a guest drugged and murdered by someone with a fake ID. Of course, they're trying to protect themselves, as they've probably already experienced a huge decline in bookings.

Good Job Buddy, we have just received verbal confirmation from Sunshine hotel that that a photo will continue to be requested but if the guest prefers not to submit to that they will still be allowed to proceed, once they have registered. (submitted their ID). This along with a HD CCTV system would have solve their problems anyway.

They are now returned to the approved list.

Tonight

Sunshine hotel & Residences

The hotel still will not let ladies in without taking their picture. we talked to the reception, to a women named "Visa", she told me that it is not possible. Even though I explained that we already have spoken with the Manager and Reservation Officer of their hotel, but she was unimpressed.

We tried to get in touch with the manager and reservation officer but couldn't get connected and the reception (of course) refused to give us any info on them.

Our customer was really upset, first with us but after explaining the situation he still was mad but then of the hotel staff, especially the reception as they were not really nice at that time. He will make an complaint to the hotel management. He had to forego his entertainment for the evening.

This despite having a copy of the managers email!

The 'Girls' don't have a problem handing over their ID card to a hotel reception because it is the norm.If they object,They wouldn't get in

When we get photographed at the airport we don't object because it is the norm. If we object,We wouldn't get in.

All they have to do is look directly up at the CCTV camera for a few seconds.Signs in thai should be on display at hotel receptions that they have to comply with this procedure as well as handing over their ID card or they don't get in.

That means they don't get paid.

Once this becomes the norm in Pattaya and the P4P 'Girls' know the drill then there won't be a problem.

Alternatively,

Don't stay at hotels that are taking in house security measures to protect their clients.

I am in favour of this procedure becoming the norm. In the meantime i would make this clear to the 'Girl' before making the deal for her services. If she objects then for me, That is a deal breaker and i find someone else.

Yes but the problem comes when the girl does object to this. I don't believe anyone can force her if she doesn't want to have her photo taken. When it does happen the guest will be unhappy and he will unfairly blame her for it. You can't compare the procedures of entering a country to a hotel taking photos of girls plying their trade.

That is not the case, apart from which a correct placed HDCCTV Camera would negate being stood to one side and photographed. You do not have to humiliate the ladies to achieve this aim. Regards the comment about piper and tune,  as reported on this forum more and more are voting not to dance to just any old tune.

If you then look at Buddy Edgewood post you will see that their management has put in writing that it would not be enforced, which is false representation at best or as i would see it an outright lie to a paying customer regards the service he has been assured of.

As scumbag pointed out, it isn't what the hotel do that's going to be the problem.  It's the process of getting to your point "B".

Say you BF a girl, pays the 1000BF.  You take her back to your hotel.  They want to take picture.  She says no.  Then what?  you go to a short time hotel?  Cut your 1000BF lost?  Go back to bar to get your barfine back?

Whilst I understand your point, how would you feel if the hotel insisted on a joint photograph of you standing with every girl you took back to your room?   Would you feel comfortable knowing that someone else had access to all those pictures?

The issue for the girls is that whilst they're quite happy to have to provide ID, the majority of working girls do not want someone to have their hands on a photograph of them in a 'working' situation.  Once a photo has been taken, you have no control over it or where it ends up, and no guarantee that it will be destroyed despite any promises that are made.

I can see that these hotels may be wanting to boost their security profile and to be seen to be proactive in protecting their guests.  However, as Cerberus has repeatedly pointed out, they can achieve the same result discretely with a good quality video system.

Taking the girls to one side and shooting individual photo's is basically demeaning them, and screaming to any bystander 'this is a hooker'.  Yes, we know all the girls walking in with a farang and handing over their ID cards are working girls, but they can blend in because everyone has to provide ID when they are visiting.

To me, this approach seems to be a dumb move.  It will undoubtedly affect booking from repeat customers.

Cheers

This stupid policy, optional or not, will spread like wildfire amogst the girls and may repeated as::

"If go this hotel they make photo of you for internet and newspaper so family & sponsors see what you working"

Maybe they dont want guests to have "visitors" but dont want to lose exisiting bookings ?

Another possibility is that it was just some morons "bright ?" idea that with loss of custom will be removed.

As Cerberus pointed out the same result can be gained with proper CCTV cameras, maybe they just thought of a cheaper option ?

If I was staying in one of these hotels I would check out and just right off the money I had already paid, the same if I had booked.

Its easy for me to say this and I fully understand that many guys are not in the position to do so

The things is really about us guys that want to have "visitors", if we do then dont stay in these hotels - simple.unless you want the TGs conversation with you to be :

"Whats your name ?"

Where you come from ?"

What hotel you stay ?"

"No good hotel I no go there, can go another hotel with you okay ?"

A really big thanks to Buddy Edgewood for pointing this out and pursuing the matter and to Cerberus also. .

Whatever the reason for this policy we all should have nothing to do with these hotels until its removed..

In the beginning was the word and the word was "In" :ThumbUp6:
