China garden is awesome and they have just renovated there restaurant. It gets mixed reviews but seems worth checking out.

Can confirm Honey Inn at 500bt for the 3rd wheel after receiving an email.

They did this summer, I am absolutely 100% sure. And there was a sign on the front desk clearly explaining the policy (I just didn't realize that my lady that night was 18), so it's easy to check by just popping in there.

I had booked the LK Empress as I like the beach front balcony rooms, but last time I was hassled by the night porter when bringing more than one girl back. Also I don't like the idea that I can't bring a 19yo back if I want.

 

So I've cancelled the LK Empress and booked the Baywalk Residence baechfront balcony room instead. I've never had any problem with them asking about the girls age or how many I bring back.

 

Only staying 3 nights so can afford a bit of luxury!

WARNING: hotel Selection on Beach Rd. btw. Soi 5 and 6 has a joiner fee for the first girl too, and allows no guests under 20 yo. = first and last time I have stayed here for sure. It is legal to have sex with an 18 or 19 year old girl (or boy/lb) in Thailand, and I like the Young ones, but luckily I only stay here one night (alone!) before moving into a condo

Could someone please translate this to English? Does it mean if there is a second person registered it is OK. But if you have an unregistered guess you have to pay?

Best guess is if you bring two guests you pay fee.

As long as you book a room for two people and stay single and bring a bar girl back to the room there will be no joiner charge.

 

The maximum occupancy per room allowed is 2 people including you and a registered or an unregistered guest.

 

But as soon as you bring a 3rd person to the room then there will be a 400 baht charge for the 3rd person.

Well at Pattaya Bay Resort they charge an extra 500 baht as I recall if you bring an extra 'guest'. And the bad thing is its not even if you bring two 'guests' at once if you bring a guest earlier in the night and then one later you get charged 500baht.
