Yes, that's the meaning. bear in mind that kee means other things apart from shit. In the case of "kee niiow" It means more like "prone to being sticky" (tight) rather than sticky shit.

 

In the same way you can say luum (forget) or kee luum (somebody who is prone to forgetting things).

Yes i believe that is where the word comes from although my Thai is very very basic.

They are saying you are 'sticky' with your money and don't want to let go of it.

Dr Winston may be able to confirm but the word 'kee' in front of something usually means a derogatory meaning, such as kee-mao (alcoholic), kee-neow (stingy), kee-kiet (lazy).

 

Yes, it usually has negative connotations. It does also mean shit but in the case of kee niaw it doesn't. Probably one of the most misunderstood of Thai phrases, origin wise.

Cheers, I'd never heard phaen-gaan แผนการused for plans before. I makes sense, kind of means "plan of things" The word is also used for map "phaen-thee" แผนที่, literally "plan of the place"
