Review of Mosaik Apartments

I am staying in this place, the rooms are nice and clean, the shower is good and it looks as if they gave a fcuk when renovating it.

 

Now for the bad part, i was walking around looking for somewhere to stay when i walked past it, i asked the girl how much she said 18500 bht for the standard studio on floor 4, i thought it was too much and was about to leave, then she came up with the lie that she had 1 standard studio on floor 2 for 16560 baht, everywhere in town is full over Xmas/N Year so i paid a 3k deposit to move in the day later.

 

In the evening i look on their website and for the standard studio it is quite clearly written 11600bht a month, for a standard studio.

So when i go to check in, i show her this on the website and she then makes up the lie that the website shows prices from, when as you can see it shows the 3 different types of studio and none are 16560bht, and it doesnt say prices from.

 

Then i hand over the money to rent the room and i am surprisingly on the 4th floor.

 

Now its up to them how they run their business, but im quite clearly getting ripped off in terms of paying 50% more then the advertised price, from this point of view i wouldnt recommend it to anyone, as its condoning their shady business practices all for the sake of a few thousand baht.

I have had a look and found the below page does have something about starting prices down in the bottom right hand corner. Anyway I am interested to find out if they have any rooms over xmas and NY, Does it look very busy ?

When I stay there I never had any problem with the Internet it was high speed and it was very fast and always had a good connection.

Great review of the Mosaik Apts. Can you tell me was your room quiet at night? Are there any bars close by that would disturb your sleep? I want a quiet place to lay down at night after an evening of hard drinking.

Emailed them a couple of hours ago asking about the 1 bedroom deluxe which says 22K a month on their website and what the price were for 1,3 and 6 months starting in April.

Haven't received an answer yet but I will post their reply when I get it.

Be careful and note that the website, I think, says that the rooms START at a certain price. I was quoted about 38,000 baht / month for a 1 bedroom deluxe. plus electricity, water and room cleaning/towel changing.

 

I prepaid a deposit of 10,000 baht which they wanted. Due to the airport closing and the delay of my flight, it was more worth it to lose my deposit and go to a hotel. I don't think that I will ever again prepay anything when going to Thailand!!

I ended up getting the 1BR Deluxe for ฿1,107/night, inclusive of VAT, but not including the power/water/maid service. Great deal considering time of year, and size and condition of accomodation.

it seems that they are adjusting to having a crappy "high" season.

the hotel that i ended up staying at also reduced their rates when i arrived.

 

(by the way, i was supposed to stay at lek hotel. when i emailed they said they are fully booked. when i walked by, doorman saw me and brought me inside. plenty of rooms at FULL price. i passed on paying 50% more per night.)

This is the reply I got:

Thank you for your email. The price of 1 bedroom Deluxe is between 21,200-23,600 per month. 3 months price is between 63,600-70,800 and 6 months price is between127,200-141,600 include cleaning service. The price is depend on the location.

I guess the different rooms have different sizes/views and thats the reason for the difference in prices.
