The best thin-crust pizza is from Pizza, Pizza in the Avenue Pattaya shopping complex (underneath Shennanigans). Janee makes authentic Neapolitan crust pizza. It's a little on the expensive side, 250B for a small, and 400B for a large, but oh so good.

Ate at Pizza Pizza at The Avenue yesterday and have to say I was unimpressed. I got the one with shredded ham, peperoni and mushrooms. Had little flavor and was real oily. The thin crust was good but no flavor. I also got the mixed salad which tasted a bit strange and the Italian dressing on it wasn't that good. My girl got the minestrone soup which was only ok.

 

I've also tried the pizza at the Italian / Sweedish place on Soi Diamond, right near Gentlemens Club and from the open Italian place on Beach RD and Soi 13/1 (forget the name) and both spots were average at best. Although, the pasta at the place on Soi Diamond is pretty good and includes the salad/soup bar for free.

 

Tried Slice on Soi Diana a while back, only because I was drunk. The pizza looked like it was sitting around for a while and after warming it was edible but not much else.

 

So far the best I've had was at Planet Food on 2nd Rd just a bit down from Soi Diana going towards Walking St. There's always a guy outside selling magic tricks. Their pizza is thin crust and has a good flavor. They use the large salami rather than the smaller pereroni (which I prefer) but it's still very good and not too much oil. I know one of the cooks is Italian but I think the pizzas are made by Thais. The pasta is also pretty good.

 

Maybe I'll try some of the spots you guys mentioned since Pizza Pizza left me wanting a proper slice.

PIZZA BIG in Naklua, the one of the first picture of the topic is the best italian like pizza in town, no doubt about it.

Much better than many pizzeria in Italy and also very big.

Must give a chance if you like real pizza

Hopf Brewhouse, corner of Soi Yamato and Beach Road, has good Italian pizza cooked in original wood burning oven. The manager is Italian from Napoli. The espresso is good as well.

 

Hopf Brewhouse gets my vote!

The place on Soi LK Metro (which I THINK is called Speedy Pizza Company or something like that) used to do a terrific pizza!

 

It was a little on the floppy side but otherwise really good and very reasonable with a Margherita (boring, I know) pie being only 175 Baht.

 

Sadly, I have not seen this place open for well over a month. Anyone have any news on the place?

When is it my turn in the barrel?

No, Slices is still there on Soi Diana.

 

This place is on Soi LK Metro in between Krogen and Keerati but I'm fucked if I can remember the name of it....guess I could get off my ass and look off my balcony, eh? :)

Pizza Big is good and real brick oven style pizza.

 

The place at the Avenue Mall next to McDonalds sucks and is a rip off tourist spot IMO

Anyone tried Stefano's place in Marine Plaza? Mr. Sandwich. Dude does it all sandwiches pizza lasagna, brusscetta, spaghetti...list goes on. He also makes a white pizza, basil, olive oil, and ricotta cheese. I'm a fan.

I do not reccomend to go at Pizza Big, everybody know between the Italians that the owner uses to touch food even is HIV and Epatite C infected. Very risky I guess... There are thousand of Pizzerias in Pattaya, why to risk about?

I have to agree that "The Pizza Place" on Second Rd. is the best going so far in Pattaya. The only one I haven't tryied is thast little Italian Resturant on Second Rd. Most of the other places are terrible.

I agree that Pizza Big is quite good--had it about a year ago and tried again a month ago but just missed as they were closing when we walked in.

 

Another place I like is a small join on Soi Bukhao just 2 doors down from QD Sweets hotel, just before Paradise a go-go. Inexpenive and quite good.

 

But alas, my most frequent pizza stop is Pizza Corner, which shares the shop with Cream and Fudge in the Avenue Shopping area. The small @120thb is just the right portion for when I crave pizza (that's often) but don't want to overeat.

Check out the new place off of Soi Buakhow. Great selection of pizza done properly with free delivery in the area. Check the website for menu and phone number.

Good afternoon.I am the owner of PIZZA BIG restaurant.

The new addict Patong he is italian guy than running italian restaurant in Pattaya since a few month.

He try to give sheet to many italian restaurants here in Pattaya but i thing it is a very bad way to advertise.

I get so sad when i read things so bad and throw mud on the people.

In my country i am blood donner.

Most probale the guys who to advice against Pizza Big it's only another full envies owner of another italian restaurant.

 

I like italian pizza, and everytime I go back Pattaya I enjoy to go eat at Pizza Big, one of the best pizza in Pattaya.
