Generic Ambien

I just read this in the column People's Pharmacy in the states on generic Ambien. As info.

"I have been on Ambien for several years. When I went to pick my latest prescription up at the pharmacy, I was told I would be receiving the generic. I was happy about that because it was cheaper. I took the pill at my usual time, 9 pm. I am usually asleep by 9:30, but I was still wide-awake at 2:30 am. I slept at most two hours. These generic Ambien are nothing like the real thing.

Oh one more thing about xanax. You won't be told this in LOS but when I finally got a real perscription for it by my doctor I was surprised to see that there's a label on the bottle saying not to eat Grapefruit or drink Grapefruit juice while the Xanax is in your system.

I got 'valium' near night & day but they're the blue ones with white speckles & not too good. Basically a lot in Pattaya are snide & I found it really difficult to find anything strong enough for me personally. I ended up getting the real deal from Cambodia when I went gambling in Phnom Pehn, they're lilac in colour. The best downers or sleepers I got from Patts were from the doctor, most doctors will sort you out if you say you're having trouble sleeping, for a small price anyway, lol.Dormicum are the best by a mile, apparently 7.5mils are awesome but i got 15mils & took two (being a right greedy bleeder!) I re-named them 'Rhino-stoppers' after that, felt great the next day too!!! LOL The next best are 'Zomni' (trade nname) or zopiclone, 7.5mils good.Bluntman. :Dream1:BTW, 1200 baht for 50 valium, ooooh!Did the guy who sold them wear a mask & go by the name of Dick Turpin!!!!! :P

So many women, so little time!!!

good thread here guys...

yeah, alprazolam (xanax) is good stuff, short acting.

Stays in your blood stream about 3-4 hours. No hangover or drowsiness

the next day.

No wicked hangover like valium.

If you do the .5mg, start off small. Try a half.

Then a full. I take 2 and it knocks me out.....provided I do not have food in my gut.

IE--don't eat a big meal and ingest this stuff, work work.

Wait an hour, then take it.

Or, take it 30 minutes before you eat. Then after dinner, bye bye time!

You guys already know that if mixed with alcohol, you are rolling the dice.

It can push the side effects either way.

Not a smart call.

I have not taken Ambien, but I'll get some......in the UK and the US, just ask for samples.

The docs cough up the med samples for free.

Same with Viagra, Levitra and Cialis--my doc gives me boxes of samples.

Righteous stuff!

I mentioned to a friend about the "Viagra Blues." He did not know what I meant....

You have Viagra, want to take it to get shagged. No willing recipient's in the US/UK.

'Tis a shame. That's why Pattaya was invented!

LOL!

ALL girls like it in the Ass. Not all know it....yet!

I tried the generic Ambien (Zolpidem) once this week and it worked for me.

I've never tried xanax for sleep, but it sounds like it can work.

Ambien works great, but watch out. Don't take it with booze, especially if heavy. You can end up walking around the neighborhood naked and never know it. You can also get dependant on it. I used it for a long time. It is weird stuff and changes your sleeping habits. You will get so you won't be able to fall asleep without it. You won't even be able to take a nap. It can take a long time before you can sleep regularly after you stop taking it. Can be bad stuff, no kidding. If you just take it once in a great while it would be o.k. That's the challange - works great though.

Not really the best idea to knock yourself out for a long flight. Greater risk of deep vein thrombosis if you are immobile and dehydrated.

I haven't tried Xanax, but Ambien CR is the way to go. Controlled Release Pills, will keep you asleep for about 7-8 hours, no hangover.

I also used sparingly a anti-depressant/sedative, Desirel (Trazodone) 50 mg which you can get in any pharmacy in Thailand. Relaxes you and you'll go to sleep. Much cheaper cause made in Thailand.

Desirel (Trazodone) 50 mg i had these last time 1000 for 900 bth on main road by soi 3, there good still having them now.

Yes, and you are supposed to get up every hour to strech and walk around. After being cooped up in a plane for four hours I'm about ready climb out of my skin so I'll take my chances. It's also not really the best idea to go on booze and pussy vacations every year.

....Also last time I was in LOS I looked several places for Ambien and Lunestra and was told everywhere that I'd have to go to the hospital to get them.

Ambien is sold in Thailand under the brand name Stillnox, but it's the old formulation, not Ambien CR. Regardless, it's true that you can only obtain it from a hospital dipensary. I have never found an independent pharmacy in either Pattaya or Bangkok, that will sell it. You can buy ya-ba and ice almost anywhere in the street, but ask for a sleeping pill that's sold by the hundreds of millions all over the world and people clam up like you'd just asked for a couple of vials of opium. Come to think of it, that would probably be easier to buy as well.

I'd love for somebody to tell me I'm wrong and point me to a place to buy Stillnox over the counter. Anybody?

  • 2 months later...
pharm directly opposite stereo bar 200 baht for 10

Thanks spanky,

just walked in this morning @ 7:30 and no problem they sold

me 10 - 1mg for 200 baht.My sleep patterns are all over the place

and i'm trying to get "normal."

I use these only as a last resort but will probably use them on my flight

home.

Btw folks...I read an article that taking sleep medication on a regular

basis will take years off your lifespan...alot of statistics may be from

the Barbituate days (what Elvis probably took) but I would suspect even

these newer types have bad long term consequences.

If you "need" these to sleep every night, start looking for a way to get off them.
