Don't Wind Up Like This.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer ten years ago. There were several treatment options available. I consulted with three other doctors before making a choice. I had some side effects from my treatment; less than 1/2 of 1% of the guys getting that treatment had that happen. But after a 10 months that went away. I'm cancer free now and have been since that treatment. I was checked four times a year for the first five years after treatment, then twice a year. Now I am checked once a year. I don't suffer from ED nor do I wear diapers. But I sure look at life differently; I definitely don't take it for granted. It taught me how little control I actually have over most things in my life. Also, I was very fortunate in having annual check ups. I've got friends my age who just refuse to get checked.
