Working remotely from LOS & Internet connection

I don't know if they still have them, but pre-COVID I purchased a mobile hotspot device from AIS for about 3000 baht. Just pop a SIM card into it and turn it on to create a local Wi-Fi network (max 10 devices) that connects to the AIS network. Fast and easy to use without worrying about draining your phone battery.

Certainly an option. I have one of those but it started to annoy me. Every so often it would need a restart. This was a few years ago so current devices could be better.

which phones are you fellas using to run your wifi hotspots ?   Last few times I tried it, my phone (iPhone) heated up so bad you could barbecue steak on its surface, and it drained the battery the battery life even faster than the usual crappy Apple battery life.

Samsung s21 ultra, no issues.

Most rooms at the base condominium give you direct access to the router and fast connection, no captive portals. I have had to hotspot off my phone and it cannot handle video calls very well.
