Yes, they changed the name of the service to Thailand Privilege.

It has to do with pronunciation difficulty , it's much easier for Thais now to say "Welcome to Thai Privilege program".  I am still mourning for Family Mart rebranding and now this

There's no renewing. If your Elite Visa was eligible for an upgrade at a certain price during your membership period, they said they will still honor that. If your Elite Visa expired, you will have to purchase a new one at the new prices.

I am halfway through a 5 year one.

do they let me extend it for the old prices?

I would confirm with them to be 100% sure but yes, they have stated if you're on the old 5 year, you can upgrade at the same upgrade price to the 20 year one (400k baht if you paid 600k and 500k if you paid 500k for the 5 year) before your 5 years are up.
