Chill Inn - Buakhow

Recommended Posts

Can’t see a thread on it anywhere, but have recently been really enjoying the food at Chill Inn on Buakhow.

Plenty of Euro cuisine and most of it is 99baht. Tried the Schnitzel and a couple of Balkan dishes who’s name escapes me. Modestly priced beer too.

Highly recommended

I eat there regularly ... but prefer Jolly Frog restaurant across the street.

Larger servings, always happy staff and much faster service.

I waited for food 35 minutes yesterday at Chill Inn.

Chill Inn has also been my favorite lately. Their chicken breast in mushroom sauce for 140 baht is one of the best deals going.

Never had bad service at Chill Inn.

I will check out Jolly Frog menu though as it looked quite nice when I saw it from Chill Inn. Not near as busy though.

It is also 3 shop houses wide vs Chill inn 1 wide, which allows people to spread out.  Both of these places have their very loyal regulars.

I also find they don't cook the same.  The same dish at both places taste different, and that is one reason I enjoy visiting both, because of the different taste/flavors.

What's your fav dish at Jolly Frog to recommend?

The service has always been excellent in my experience and they had an absolute stunner working there last month (seems to have left)

I’ll give that chicken breast a go tomorrow.

I eat 99% Thai food, and can tell them any specific Thai dishes I want off-menu and they fix them.

There was a stunner there a couple days ago working. Had a mask on but looked beautiful and a cracking body. Bit taller

jolly frog ? i dunno how the frog hopped in. the place opposite is jolly restaurant and guesthouse (large rooms with a bath)* . the current owner is Amir (nice chap) from jerusalem...........arab/scandinavian. the "stunner", and she is a stunner could well be his thai wife

* you can find my review of a jolly room with photos (that also show the chill inn opposite) in hotels and guesthouse section

I like the Chill Inn - service can be slow )30 minutes+) on occasion.

Breakfasts are so-so quality but are cheap and you get what you pay for - it's a bit hard for me to compare because I normally go to Bake n Brew for Brekky but that is at a higher price point.

The Chicken Schnitzel and the Cevapcici, both 99 Baht are stand outs.

Here are some of the pages from the 99B part of the menu.

I suspect the Thai Food there is good because I see groups of Thais there eating without falangs.

I saw the hot server all dressed up going on a date with a tall Balkan-looking guy a couple of weeks ago.

BTW, the Carbonara tasted really weird to me - not in a make you sick way - just the cream cheese was different but not in a good way.

Still can't beat iRover's Carbonara for mine (189 Baht).

cream cheese doesn't belong in any carbonara...

Besides that i can only judge the fries in Chill Inn, and they were great.

Not a Chef - forgive my mis-use of culinary ingredients. The creamy sauce was pretty awful.

The fries are pretty good as you say... but I don't see how they bear any relation whatsoever to the Carbonara sauce?

I was just watching a YouTube video by Everything Pattaya and he just so happen to show this place and their pricing. It certainly looks like a decent place with great prices.

Couple years ago was a regular customer and I ate there at least 4 times per week when I was in town

but I feel like the quality and service has gone downhill. (I often though that maybe they should add one more waitress)

I still ate there or ordered from there at least once a week on my last 4 month trip.

But now the 30-50 min waiting for food has come normality in Chill Inn, wasn't like this before.

For food delivery the waiting times were even longer I think the record waiting for me was about 90 minutes.

I usually eat Thai food at Chill Inn or Farmers breakfast in the mornings

I dont know how many different chefs they have but for example Pad krapow chicken taste and looks varies

alot in Chill Inn these days.

My "GF" liked the food allmost everytime I ordered from there and she usually said if she didnt like

something or  she didnt eat the food.

I think once she complained about rice porridge with shrimps that the shrimps didnt taste fresh

Surprised by all the complaints of slow service, I’ve never waited more than 10 mins, from memory.

Had this the other weekend, the Spicy xxx (I’m not typing that out)

very good indeed

Two nights ago at Chill Inn, I ordered a takeout dish of chicken/cashew nuts.

The restaurant wasn't that busy. It was about 6:30 pm.

I waited almost 30 minutes, I would roughly guess.

The dish was very tasty.

But the long waiting time was inconvenient, and ultimately annoying.

I ate here twice on my recent trip. Once for breakfast which was decent enough but not spectacular.

The green curry chicken was great. My mate had the chicken schnitzel for 99 bhat which looked pretty good.

Oh and yes, some of the serving ladies looked ok if that's your thing.

I have been here for dinner 3 times in July/August. Especially the Balkan specific meat and sausage specialties are not often available in Pattaya. I can not find fault with the food, the prices are also perfectly ok, the staff consistently attentive and fun.
I especially like to sit in the front row and watch the hustle and bustle on the Buakhao while eating. Gladly also with a Thai Iced Milktea.
