Can anybody recommend a good dermatologist in Pattaya, that they have personally had experience with?

Jeez mate. I'm all in favour of keeping it fun. But this is an actual request. And I happen to be interested (pictures will not be forthcoming lol)

I will second a recomendation for Dr. Waraporn Klanwarin. I have had skin tags, sun spots, broken facial capillaries removed.  Always very professional.

Dr. Nitivadee Teeyapan-Songdej at La Nitivadee clinic on beach road. Did a good job on removing a cyst on my face cheek. Barely visible scar; not that I cared. U.S. practice for 15 years so good English.

She's much older than her photo on the website however.

Prices are as most private hospitals in Pattaya.  1000 baht for seeing doctor and likely 2-3000 baht if you have small surgery to remove , biopsy included.  She will check for skin cancer and such if you ask during the appointment and give you a quote.  She is likely 10+ years older than her photo just like some TF ladies 555

DR.WARAPORN KLANWARIN

SPECIALIZATION:

- GENERAL DERMATOLOGY.
- SKIN LASER SURGERY.
- COSMETIC PROCEDURE : BOTOX, FILLER, REJUVENATION.

I recommend her--been seeing her for years. Reasonable prices.

I just had 20-30 skin tags, and 2 small warts, burned off today at Dr. Somnuek Clinic. Cost was 6000 Baht total.

He is a dermatologist and his clinic has been active for many years. It is on Central Pattaya Rd (Pattaya Klang). Just before the intersection with 3rd Rd if heading from Beach Rd towards 3rd Rd.

He gave me the basics of what he would do, did it, and never mentioned any aftercare instructions but I was ok with that,

I had first gone to La Nitivadee clinic and the female Dr. gave me a very good brief on how she would do it and detailed instructions for aftercare. Unfortunately she quoted me a price of 18,000 Baht.

18,000 is ridiculous for warts and skin tags.

I wonder if any of the above clinics would be able to remove a few facial scars that have had for yrs on my forehead …..from chicken pox yrs ago.

The Drs at the International Hospital and the 3rd road clinic seem to know what they’re doing n reasonable from reading above.

Any other recommendations would be helpful too..TIA.

I will follow this thread as well.

My requirement is removal of a benign mole on my chest that I have had for years.  I submitted pix to the BSL Clinic in Bangkok (near Asoke).  they would use a CO2 laser and rough online quote for 20K.  I think I'll look at the Pattaya options.

Have a trip in November with 7 days in Bangkok and 9 days in Pattaya.

The only dermatologist I have seen is Dr Anna, at BPH.  However, she was already semi-retured prior to Covid, and I don't know if she still practices.  Very nice, very knowlegable (trained and residancy in the USA if that adds or subtracts from her review), but very little small talk.

She is still listed on the roster, but that doesn't mean anything.

I had skin cancer two  checkup in BPH and wasn't too impressed by the doctors there. Kind of a superficial look-over and they didn't even want me to take the underpants off for the exam.

Today I went to  La Nitivadee clinic and the doctor did a very thorough exam, every square cm2 of skin, the way I am used to from my doc in Switzerland.

Quiet, explains things, thorough, exam was 1000 THB, very reasonable price.

So I probably stay with her.

Just a good advice, if you want to remove something do it on the last week of your stay because sun is no good for the damaged skin.

I have a weird wart-like lump on my stomach that I want to have identified and removed. It sometimes changes colour a bit and also it has bled in the past. I'm pretty sure it's benign, but would like to have a dermatologist look at it anyway. I don't want to go to a doctor in the Netherlands because I'm 100% sure they will just shrug it off and make me feel like I wasted their time.

The dermatology dept. of Pattaya Internatonal Hospital looks interesting and affordable, but I'm open to more recommendations in either Pattaya or Bangkok.

If it changes color/shape and spontaneously bleeds, should definitely have a biopsy done.

That sounds like an excellent idea to me, especially with the symptoms you describe.

I went to see dr. Waraporn Klanwarin at Pattaya International Hospital yesterday. She took me very seriously which was a nice experience. The growth on my abdomen was removed and I will get the results of the biopsy after a week via email. I'm not too concerned but you never know.

But prices have gone up a lot here it seems. I ended up paying around 9500 baht for everything, including the consult, removal of the growth, lab test and aftercare.

Very frustrating to be back in The Netherlands. It turned out the growth on my abdomen was cancerous. Luckily, it was "only" basal cell carcinoma, which is quite harmless. I went to a dermatologist in The Netherlands, who removed some more skin around the area that was already removed, which turned out to be unnecessary because dr. Waraporn did an excellent job of removing the skin cancer in its entirety (the biopsy back here showed no cancer). So now I'm left with a visible scar on my abdomen.

But what's frustrating to me is that I was due for a checkup this week, to investigate the rest of my skin, but the hospital called me and suddenly my appointment was moved back 2 fucking months. "Due to circumstances your dermatologist can't physically see patients right now". Compare this to a decent Thai hospital, where you could probably make an appointment the same fucking day. I'm tempted to cancel this new appointment and just see dr. Waraporn again, since I'll probably be in Pattaya next month anyway.
