Price wise it isn't a bad deal for a good course like this the only problem is the tee off time which explains the cheap price.

I noticed most of Witherspoon's scheduled tee times are around 11am as well. I assume that's how they get the lower prices. Traveler's tee times vary between 10a and 11:30a. Might not be many groups that get out before the heat really kicks in.

Thats correct.

I know Billabong who are out on the Darkside tend to get off at about 8:30am a lot.

This is why I suggest driving yourself to golf. I tend to book for 7:30am/8am  tee offs 

A lot of the time I was showering just after 10 and back on SOI Backhao by midday

You tend to play alot by yourself though? While I do enjoy getting in a quick round, like hanging out with the guys for a bit too.  Being from Vegas and playing in Florida, I am used to the heat, although high humidity can make it tough.

The heat for me is fine being from Australia we get days hotter than Thailand anyway. I do play by myself but the main reason is because I want to get back into town ASAP so I can get back amongst the action.

I sort of stumbled on to the tee off early and get back in for a shower in 2 and a bit hours by accident last trip on my first round when there was no one on the course and I looked at my watch going down the 18th and seen the time

So for the groups that bus you to the course, presumably you have to get yourself and your clubs to the pickup point? Do groups socialize after the round?

Yes you have to get yourself and the clubs to the bar they play up for most of them.

Some will do around town pick ups from your hotel but that isn't the usual.

Yes they all want to socialise after golf. As most are run out of bars getting 10 to 50 golfers back to a bar ordering meals and food is a way of making money. Don't forget a lot of these groups will have guys who know each other quite well and are happy to sit around and chat over a beer for hours
