Brunch buffet, yes. 7.30-11am. Not my pics, obviously:

I think it only started today so maybe I’ll find pics of the evening one in the next few days.

They were doing food there before Covid. It's a fairly large guesthouse/bar/restaurant operation. If they've started doing food there again recently it's not just a ruse to get around Covid restrictions.

I know it won't be like my old favorite breakfast buffet at the Danmark hotel but I will try it in January.

Drove over to wash the car yesterday afternoon. The car wash was located next to Mr. Moo on Thepprasit 17 (soi that runs behind Rhompo. Mr. Moo is no longer there.

We ate at Gian's tonight. This is my favorite Italian place in all of Banglamung. If you are looking for cheap Italian eats this is not the place to go. We dropped close to 4000, including 2200 for a nice bottle of an Oregon Pinot Noir.

Food and service were great as usual.

Here the menu of the restaurant Gosh. Near the big Buddha mountain outside Pattaya near Kao Chi Chan. There's also a decent wine list with prices of wines up to 80.000 baht per bottle.

Worth a try...

ok - lets level set here. The actual bill was 3460 and I added a 400 tip (10%).

2200 of the 3460 was for a bottle of wine. So the actual price of the dinner for two was 1460.

Still not cheap, but closer to your expectations.

Fixed it for you. I frequently spent 1200 - 1500 baht having dinner for 2 in the mall (Bkk or Patt), so this is not expensive at all, for a fancy looking Italian menu and restaurant I supposed.

The GF and I had not really been going out very much the last 6 months. We decided we need to get out at least once a week. With wine recently becoming available in restaurants we are slowly hitting some of my favorite places.

Cafe des Amis had been on a reduced schedule, but is now open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays).

We stopped in the other night and dropped about 4800. Lots of extras built into that.

  • bottle of wine (Australian Pinot Noir) 2000
  • tip 500
  • 6 oysters for an appetizer 900
  • so the two base meals came to around 1400

The oysters were very fresh and really good. Service and food were excellent as usual.

A few pics

Looks like Back Fabrik are relocating to Soi 7 Jomtiem. Should do well in new location, may have to revise pricing, tends to be a tad on the high side.

Actually the original location is not closing, but they opened a 2nd location in Soi 7 about 2-3 months ago, but due to few customers at that time, it was closed. It will reopen when a few more people are around. The original location still does fairly good business.
