Another great feature of qbittorrent is that you can lock it to you VPN so that if your VPN disconnects it does not start downloading through your local IP address revealing what you downloading.

Checkout https://iknowwhatyoudownload.com/en/peer/ with your local IP address. Maybe not a problem for those in Thailand but definitely a problem in the West.

Tools->Options->Advanced->Network Interface

In windows your VPN interface probably starts with TAP-Adapter.

Once you've figured out which adapter it is and selected it in qbittorrent disconect your VPN manually and qbittorrent will stop downloading. If it's still downloading you've likely selected the wrong interface.

There are some websites like https://ipleak.net/ which can check that none details are leaking onto the internet. You can download a manget link and the website will give you the IP adresses that the torrent client is using. If you disconnect your VPN you should not see your local IP address.
