Went to my usual Northern Thai spot on Third Road instead 👍

Is it a secret and do they serve khao soi? If so, how is it?

Sorry, been mentioned many times before, so just presumed.

Just beware, they are normally closed by 1-2pm.

Can vouch for that place as well. Lovely people and the food is very tasty. They elderly couple only speak Thai so difficult to communicate but there is a young LB who works there sometimes who speaks English well.

It's the one just before Admire. Mansion maybe? Walked be the other day and will try it soon..

Followed up and enjoyed it. Was a bit spicy which I was fine with but some might not like it that way. Chicken was super tender.

Tried the salad rolls as well and they were okay and could've been good but they had those tiny dried shrimp in them which I don't like cause the flavor is too strong. I try to get pad thai without them as they're a common ingredient.

Table wise, there was 3 outside as mentioned above but there was also at least one table next door a guy was eating at. Didn't notice if there was more than one there. Not Admire side but the other. Not sure if it's attached to their property as I didn't look close.

I also tried sweet pig's version a couple weeks ago. Great presentation (last pic) and it was okay but I wouldn't rush back to have it again. Linguine noodles just didn't seem right. They serve pasta as well, so maybe trying to incorporate some of the same ingredients in different dishes which I don't blame them for doing to keep costs down.

Have also tried the 3rd road place mentioned above once. Even though it was cheap, it was quite small and little drumettes instead of a big leg or thigh. Flavors were pretty good.

Khao soi Chiang Mai at Miracle house is the current winner for me.

Forgot to mention that I saw a few grab drivers pick up orders, so convenient and if not want to go there to risk the few tables being occupied.

That’s the one I went to, they run the guest house and just have a couple of tables to make a few bob extra.

Lovely old couple
