Terminal 21 food court

Recommended Posts

When I was there last the meals were so small and the place so frantically busy I wouldn’t even recommend bothering.

Yeah it’s cheap, but there’s a reason.

If you like Thai food it's great. Can get busy but has Aircon and good selection in small area. Food is cheaper and better than many of the tourist centred 'thai restaurants' around town that charge upwards of twice as much for similar and often have no Aircon and slow service.

Not good for western food.

A much quieter option is food court in central marina.

Any recommendations at the Terminal 21 food court?

Bonus points for photos and prices.

My recommendation would be to skip the food court and eat at one of the many other options at Terminal21.  Take a look at this thread:  Dining at Terminal21.

The food court at Terminal21 gets mixed reviews.  I haven't tried it as there are plenty of better places to eat at Terminal21.Prices are cheap, though, with many options at 40-50 baht.

Here are some pics from that thread:

My favorite is the stewed pork leg (Khao Ka Mu) . Usually it's a portion that comes with rice. Instead of that, get number 4, it's a much larger portion of pork for 70 baht. Rice or egg is an extra 7 baht each. A fair of the pork is fat, which I don't eat.

I recommend the food court, its trial and error finding something you like. One of my favourites is a pork spagetti dish 40baht + egg 7 baht. As you go in its on the right hand side, i can't remember the booth number.

Mango sticky rice 47 baht is very nice towards the entrance.

Girls love going there also0e9da405d64581c11e0ef5ed2ba47b82.jpg

I tried that today. Took me 2 attempts as a few of those stalls sell it, for the same price too. The first place was called 'a la carte' (same location on right side)....not tomato'ey like yours and i liked it better. Good shout though, i never eat the spaghetti ones.

Great experimenting for 40b a pop. Last week i ate 3 dishes, some are only small.

My fave is this pineapple rice. 79b. Pretty great i think.

Minced pork, basil and century egg, 45 baht. Nice. From booth 3 on the right, no.9 on the menu. Much better quality mince compared to steet food804daff6fe82341a3625a991dd7d81c6.jpg

I for one was not impressed, food was hurriedly prepared and took a while to distinguish what was edible or not. The staff were either quite good or on some stalls ignorant, shove it up there arse, back to Central Festival for a great feed.

Not just me, my Thai partner said she would never eat there again either.

This is an example of what I ordered, not a shred of meat in there, just fat.

Umm, Thai style Trotter!

You gotta order something more north of the hoof if you want meat.

The evidence suggests you devoured everything but the bones.

Exactly. Pig trotters are not a very meaty cut [emoji23]

You had pig feet...that's the way they are.

Looks delicious except for the black coloured noodles. I would prefer steamed rice with a side small side dish of soy sauce. Real good street food there mate. I'm jealous 555.

The only time I was in the food court was soon after it opened and it was so crowded that I did not stay to eat.  What I saw was reasonable looking food, definitely not expensive but the portions were small.   Plan to go back and try again sometime when it is not so busy.

I've had many good dishes there. The kao gaeng place has a fried fish dish I really like. If you get it in a dish without rice it's 30 baht, plus you get a great view and air con. The laad na is good. I could go on.

I heard the reason the prices are so low is that they don't charge rent for the vendors at the food court--the low prices draw people into the mall. I don't know if it's true but that's what I heard.

The fact is you can eat very well and cheaply there, but you have to figure out what the good stuff is (for you). I like the stall that has masuman curry with roti too. Oh, the sum tom place has a great nam tok moo--really excellent.

All very ethnic. I get it. You're all sophisticated consumers of authentic Asia food.

Here's my suggestion. There's a Carl's Jr. upstairs. Pretty decent burgers for Thailand. Skip the weird shit and go up there.

Carry on.
