Gregs Kitchen

Recommended Posts

I have never been to Gregs Kitchen.

I might be going there later this month with friends.

I'll be having Englisg food.

Is the english food OK and do they have much of a thai menu for my girlfriend

Went there once about two years ago. I'm not big on English food, so didn't really enjoy it. They have Thai food, but it was ridiculously overpriced considering location and type of restaurant.

yeah, almost opposite Soi 6 they do a great filling English breakfast even if it is a bit pricy.

Exactly what I was going to post! The food is very good but comparatively expensive. I think Robin's on Soi Diana Inn is similar and better value.

I often eat at Greg's kitchen. The food isn't cheap, but I always enjoy the roast pork dinner there... It's a reliable place to eat, and I've never ever felt rough after eating there... unlike Mcdonalds or burger king...

Expensive in comparison with better located, aircon bars such as Butchers Arms, Pig & Whistle, etc.

There are some lunchtime specials that are good and not so expensive. I have had the fishcakes a few times on that lunch menu and they were good.

Final answer, its decent but not 50 baht per meal better than a lot of other places. Its a good place to meet mates before hitting the 6 but if you are doing that I would recommend The Q Vic or Tropical Berts who does a great bacon buttie at half the cost.

Been there once and the food was OK at the time (summer 2006). Actually met the man himself too - a North London lad like me and seemed a nice guy. Worth checking out.

agree with all of the above, food is ok but too expensive. Years ago I would have made a trip there as they had the reputation then. Now trying to live off it and havent really improved as much as their prices have gone up

I agree that the "living off the reputation" syndrome is present.

Well I went to Gregs kitchen on Christmas day and enjoyed the christmas dinner but I thought the drinks were a bit expensive. Me and my mate Dale ordered Irish coffees at the end of the meal. I cannot remember the cost of the irish coffee but I remember thinking that it was expensive at the time. Also there was an extra drink on the reciept that we hadnt ordered. So got them to knock that off the bill.

I think I'd still go there in the future because the meal was very good. Aloy.

Not a good place to eat. Mediocre food, lousy service and an owner with an attitude. I stopped going there the day I found a cockroach in a steak pie and the staff just didn't give a shit.

Go to the Pig and Whistle.

Eaten there a few times. Particularly for Liver and Onions as I am sus about eating that at places that may not have a big turnover of liver. Was quite good with big portions.

Service was OK . Didnt have desert as everything is expensive and can get desert elswhere cheaper.

Parking is a pain as you need to find some where on Soi 6 or 6/1. Dont realy want to walk back down there with teh Mrs in tow if you get the drift.

owner has a bad attitude, anywhere is better for value when you're made to feel uneasy when eating. Never going again.
